He is absolutely young enough to get good socialization to rid him of the fears, esp. if they are on the mark about him being lab/beagle. I could see a little pit in him there in the set of the frame and the stockiness and the face maybe.

He would need lots of attention and patience, but I think he could be a great guy with the right plan of action. :) Our dog was also abandoned and she has turned out just beautifully.

http://tinyurl.com/5wfydh Oh they look like fun!!! I do like animals in pairs, esp. dogs. They really enjoy dog company for the most part, and as long as they are able to fully bond with their owner, it's all good other than the extra cost and poop. :)

I have been thinking about adopting a dog myself.

Good for you P-B, he looks like a fine boy. I wish you well should you decide to adopt him. He will be an added bonus to yor road trips, one caution though....pet friendly hotels. Are there any?

I understand about mourning pets.

IVARR has a dog paradise with all his land, and has a job where he can devote a lot of time to a pet. It's win-win, even though the goodbyes are always so tough.

Get on with it IVARR. Do some good for a dog who really needs some help.
