Hey when you're giving such major minutes to freshmen at the PG/lead guard spot (Liggins and Miller), these kinds of things happen. Poor defense, but I actually saw quite a few encouraging things late in the 2nd half.

When a team pulls up for a 3 with 10 seconds off the shot clock what are you supposed to do except hope they miss? They took circus shot after circus shot and made them all.

Were there defensive lapses? Yes.

This was invaluable learning experience for Liggins and Miller.

We need to just roll with those two guys and let them play through their mistakes. Porter is not capable of handling the point.

Did Kentucky let VMI coax them into their run and gun style of play?

Honestly, in college basketball, a school only needs to get one great player to turn things around. Even if he takes off after a year he boost interest in the school.
