this I like. I wish all sports would do this, especially boxing. I don't watch nearly as much as I used to, but in the past it seems like a lot of guys would just go through the motions trying to last 12 instead of risking it all going for the win.

This is what happens when a fighter has taken one too many punches and kicks.
Combined with old age, and you are more susceptible to get knocked out.

He was clipped on the back of the head, but by no means was it a clear shot.
A younger fighter would've withstood that.

At this rate, the seemingly forever anticipated Couture vs Emilianenko does not sound too enticing; Fedor would absolutely dominate Couture, as he would Brock too.

Brock is still raw as hell in terms of real MMA skills and surprisingly, was a bit gassed in the first round when he looked up to check the clock. Fedor needs to have a real fight himself though, he's damn near semi retired so I don't buy that he or anyone will "dominate" Brock.

You could be right...St. Pierre beat him once before. I just think if B.J. comes into the octagon in shape, I don't think anyone can beat him, even George, as great as he is.

Will people give Lesnar some respect now? I like Randy but Brock is an intriguing fighter too. He is still raw as hell but with his natural gifts and athleticism, he could be truly great. Hell, he's improved by leaps and bounds in his limited MMA career. Becoming champ in 4 fights isn't too shabby.
Which brings me to my next question. Has anyone in MMA become the champ with so few fights??? I think the closest would be Cung Le who became the Elite XC champ in his 6th fight.
