GETTING ON THE SHOW: Each week I start a roundtable brainstorming thread where the fans help build our topics and a listening thread where people discuss the show while it's happening. if you'd like to do the show, get in there and participate. GUESTS OF THE SHOW: The show airs from the Sirius studios in NYC Times Square. We're in studio 21 on the 36th floor of the McGraw Hill building which is on the corner of 49th & 6th. (Google MAP (http://maps.google.com/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=6th+Ave+%26+W+49th+St,+New+York,+NY+10020,+USA&um=1&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&resnum=1&ct=title)) The building spans all the way over to 48th & there's a back entrance so you can get to the lobby from either 48th or 49th.

Guests should be there at 6PM so we can do mic checks. The show goes live at 7PM. You can not bring any friends. Our studio is very small and there's really no place for them. I'll need your full name in advance and you need to bring your ID for security. If I don't put you on the list and you don't have your ID, you will not be able to get in. Go to the security desk downstairs to get a pass. They'll tell you where to go from there.

If you are driving, you can park across the street from Hurley's Bar. If you go to Hurley's and get a drink or food, they will validate the parking slip bringing the price down to $18. Here's a map. This is an office and you are expected to be on your best behavior. It's not some free for all party. You shouldn't do anything that you would do when stopping by the bank. I know you are a Stern fan but we're not out at the bar. You need to be cool. You cannot bring alcohol, take off your clothes, make noise, or bother people. If you see a celebrity, please don't stop them and ask for an autograph or photo.

You are a guest of the show. That means you are answering questions & joining in on a discussion. You are not the host asking questions or interviewing the guests & callers. You are not doing standup and thought it's great when you are funny, it's bad when you try to force punchlines into the discussion. Everyone will get a chance to talk so you don't battle the other guests or callers for airtime. When everyone is talking over one another, it just sounds bad.

You CAN NOT walk around Sirius. You will be escorted from the upstairs lobby to the studio and back out. Do not take it upon yourself to just walk around & check things out. Nobody is allowed to stop by other shows. DO NOT stop by Ferrall's studio under any circumstances even if you think it's OK. I've been told by management that it's not. If you'd like to be a guest on Ferrall, they need to put you on their guest list.

DO NOT sign the wall.

You may take photos in the studio when were are off air but please do not take pictures in the halls or lobby.

All plugs must be approved in advance. If you are going to be on the show and you have something to plug, you need to let me know the day before. ANYONE WHO PLUGS A WEBSITE OR BUSINESS WITHOUT PERMISSION WILL NOT BE INVITED BACK.

ARTIE GETTING FULL OF HIMSELF
Artie spills Hawaiian punch on the console & leaves it for Booey to clean up. When Gary pointed it out to Artie he says "oh, I guess you didn't hear me, I split some Hawaiian Punch." and then walked away.


Robin says she really thought the 3D commercial was great. She didn't have the glasses but could see they did an amazing job with the 3D. Ironically, later in the show she said she couldn't stand the Sobe commercial. FYI, the 3D commercial was the Sobe commercial.

- Sal tells Bobby Flaw that his burgers taste like …. I don’t want to say & motions to Flaw's wife's crotch.
- Lisa G won’t say exactly what was donated to charity, how many tins of cookies were sold, how long her longest relationship was, etc.
- When it comes to Christmas gifts, Howard says I'm not your boss but when it comes to something important like being late for dinner, Howard says I'm quote unquote your boss.

- Add on 2nd radio subscriptions are going up $2 from $6.99 to $8.99 on March 11th. (29% increase) This will obviously give the company needed revenue but will it cost them too many subscribers to justify it?
- With the current state of the economy is it understandable that they need the money or ridiculous that they think subscribers will have the money?
- Considering that they promised to lock the rates for 3 years, will Howard get crucifed by the FCC again?
- Free online listening is ending. In the future is you want to listen online, you'll have to sign up for the $2.99 premium internet. Will this affect the average subscriber? (meaning, do most people use the online feed) Is premium service worth the 3 bucks a month?
- These changes won't affect you until your current plan expires so that means if you pay month to month, these changes will hit you in April. Current subscribers can avoids these price hikes by prepaying now and locking in the lower rate w/ free internet listening. Will you do it?
- Mel said that after the merger you'll continue to get what you get right now for what you pay now. What will he say now to explain these changes? if you supported the merger, do you feel betrayed? if you were against it, good for you.
- Will Howard blow off the issue saying it's just a couple bucks saying people are assholes for complaining or be compassionate and explain / justify the changes?
- At a time when people are broke, watching their money, worried about their jobs, is it wise to raise the price of a luxury item? Will this kill Sirius or will most people continue as if nothing happened?

I think you should bring it up whether it is ok'd or not. This is one of the worst moves this company has made. First lying about how great the merger will be and promising not to raise prices and then turning right around and screwing loyal paying customers.

And the other thing you should discuss is just how bad a business decision it is. I for one will be canceling my second subscription. So now they'll lose money on me and others like me.

WRONG - If Lisa G. ever wants to succeed on this forum she is going to have to adopt the "Stern Show" mentality. She is going to have to "throw her balls" on the table and lay it out if she ever wants my respect, or the respect of the Stern Fans. It is right now the biggest Stern Mystery to date.

RIGHT - Howard has the right as the "employer" to say what he wants and to expect certain things from his "employess". Howard also can decide where the line is drawn for his relationship with his "employees". It should be expected to perform to the level that your boss expects you to be at.

Some great Show guests lined up, it's been fun getting to know the Stern family over the last year!!! Boots and HPE are nice guys and funny as hell just being themselves. I`m looking forward to my next trip to New York this year.

ARTIE / GARY

Artie being an ass this morning throwing Gary under the bus & betraying his trust in an effort to teach Gary a lesson that he shouldn't talk about him......

Artie thinks Gary is on his high horse on that Wrapup Show. According to him neither Jon or Gary are funny & that show sucks. Gary's stories are soo boring & unfunny. He also says that Will has no credibility to be on the Wrapup Show.

Artie insisted that Howard hold him to random drug tests and when Gary said he'd have to watch Artie piss in a cup, Artie was insulted. He couldn't believe that Gary didn't trust him. Now Artie admits that he had already purchased clean piss and had it in his pocket that day. Now when Gary says he doens't believe anything Artie says anymore, Arties insulted again. Was Gary right to think he'd have to watch Artie piss and right to say he doens't believe anything Artie says anymore or is Artie right for being insulted both times?

Artie didn't like what Gary had to say Wed on the Wrapup Show. He was very hurt because Gary says Artie lies all the time. Is Gary going too far saying her lies about everything? After numerous lies and statements that Artie will continue to lie, why be so insulted now that someone would question his integrity?

How do you believe about the piss? Some people feel it just shows what a total mess he is, others feel it's a big look at me attention whore move, and yet others think it's a joke / lie.

Lots of talk about Howard retiring or resigning.
- Howard says that terrestrial wants him back but he can't go to that
- Howard says maybe they could mix things up and come up with a format where he could justify resigning
- Artie can't handle the schedule but if they'd switch to afternoons (2-6PM) or if Sirius would give him enough money that he could turn down standup gigs, he'd be happy to resign. More moeny or not, do you believe he'd be able to turn down the gigs?
- Robin is not ready to retire. Gary would produce the Robin Quivers Show. Fred can not retire. Jon would be a professor of pop culture. Jason would go back to school for a law degree. Brandano would cling to Gary & Jon. Gange woudl continue as a TV producer..... not sure what I'm going for here

This comment was one that truly stood out for me. It's twice that he places the ball in Howard's court (drug-testing and this). We won't know if it is bullshit unless Howard does go this route. If there is a grain of truth in this, Howard has underestimated what he can do.

How many fans are now turned off by Artie?? Cause of all his drama!!!!!! I have lost all repsect for Artie and I was always a huge supporter of him
