I don't know why yet but it seems to be only new threads with long titles. short titled threads got right thru. I'm investigating.

UPDATE: I was wrong, see below

it's not the thread length. I only get it when I have the word SHIT in the title. has anyone else had this problem and what details can you give me?

it doens't seem to be forum specific
it doens't seem to be usergroup specific
it doens't seem to matter what the post is
it doens't seem to be about any thread posting options like subscribe, show sig, parse media, parse url, etc

just before you started working on the issue i tried starting a thread in here and got the same white page...so it's not just the stern forum as i had thought

i'm not sure it's thread title length, the thread i started yesterday in the stern forum was pretty long...probably about the same size as the thread i tried to start today

i posted this in another thread but i'll repost it here in case you don;t see it

i tried posting my thread, with the long title, in the stern forum 5 min ago and still got the white page

i then shortened the title and it posted

so maybe title lenght is an issue

Until yesterday, I had no problems posting new threads with long or short titles.

Now, Even with a two-word, no-swear title, I cannot post a new thread.

The status line on the bottom of my computer says: "Error on Page".
The next Microsoft page I get says: "The Website Cannot Display...
Most likely causes:
The website is under maintenance; or
The website has a programming error.

I need to know exactly what the title of the thread was you were posting & what forum you were in. I can only replicate it if I put shit in the title

1:52 p.m. - Mutt, it's working fine again....

However, the 1st thread title was "Howard Not Commenting on The Real Housewives of NYC"

The second was "Howard - RHONYC"

Hey Mutt,

Mine was in the Howard Stern Forum and the title was "Need help from you funny people"

Posted fine in the Lounge but went to white page in the HS forum with both firefox and safari.

OK, I have been trying to get this into HOWARD STERN forum for a couple of days and it comes back with the 500:

Thread title: Fucking Howard 100 News Needs to Stop Fucking Spoiling Upcoming SHOW Segments!!!‏

Contents: OK - this isn't Rocket Science, Brad. And it's not the first time this has happened. Here's what you need to do to make things right:

Make sure the Howard 100 News segments during the replay are timed to that particular run of the replay. Meaning, for example, DON'T FUCKING PLAY THE LOU/SYBIAN NEWS STORY WHERE YOU ALSO REVEAL THE WINNER BEFORE THAT SEGMENT AIRS ON THE REPLY. You did that just the other night, Brad.

This really shouldn't be a big deal. You just have one rule of thumb: someone listening the any of the replays may be listening for the first time. So news segments need to be PLANNED (yes Brad, planned) so that they are timed to the contents of the replay.

If Howard knew what you were doing he would flip his lid. He's warned not to do stories about anything before he talks about it on the show. This is the same fucking concept: you are trumping his shit by running the news story before the segment airs on the replay.

So... please stop now. Mkay, Brad? K.

I got this white page when trying to post in the Howard Stern forum

I also got this message...

This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.

My Thread Title was Howard Stern, Not talk Radio

I am so sick of Sirius, they say that they only play commercials on talk radio shows. But When I was looking at the packages trying to fond on that is best for me I found a package for 9.99 a month that would only give you News, Sports, and Talk. This was great for me because I don't listen to there music channels. Then I could pay the 2.99 for the Internet radio (which was always included in the price before) and keep my bill about the same. Well in this case Sirius does not consider Howard 100 or 101 talk radio. What a bunch of pricks. I would pay 9.99 for channel 100 and 101 and no other channels . Where is that package. I hope Sirius FAILS for fucking over all of Howard's fans!

Great work, Mutt! Unless you can think of other variants of this one that are still causing problems, I think you nailed it!!!
