I had to dis able the auto embed media for a little bit. I want to see if it's what's causing the server issues. if it is, I'll find something else to use

At least now I know that I'm not totally crazy. After the upgrade, I tried putting in the 11 digit code like normal, and got nothing. Then someone told me to put in the entire embed address, which worked twice. Now, nothing works except for now it's just a link. Please reply when it's fixed. Thanks.

Is it possible to enable the old [youtube] code?

I was really excited about all the new video sources we can embed from. I keep a video and documentary thread in P&N so it was great to see that we have lots of new options other than YouTube. Please have a look at the thread:

At the end of last week I saw that the old YouTube embed codes did not work, so I updated them all using the url's, which worked fine. Of course today I see that they are all broken (and read that you disabled them).

It seems that the codes or urls work differently for the various video sites. Google works differently than YouTube and I had some problems figuring out exactly what code or url to use for that site. I wish there was some standard way to do this.

I agree that using that old YouTube code would be great for that site only. Then old posts that were created with that code would automatically be restored.

There are a few video sites that I couldn't get to work at all. I'm keeping a list so that I can keep you updated. They're popular sites, so hopefully as time permits you can add them.
