This is the closest thread/topic that matches my question. When I click on a thread link in the active topics/newest threads category it goes to the last post on the last p[age of that thread. Is there a to make it go to the first post of that thread instead of the last?

on the active topics page, the click thru link is bases on the setting you used to sort the threads. if you sorted the threads by latest reply, then it goes to the latest reply. if you sorted it by newest threads, then it goes to the 1st post in the thread.

I've decided to add som extra links to the extra topics page.

for each thread, separate links for 1st post & last post reguardless of the way you've sorted it.
in the forum column, link to forum & sort by link

in the forum column, may post & views sort links

change to use the default pagenation


in thread column, page started by & replied by links for sort by threads started by & threads replied by that user.


maybe a forum drop down in the header of the forum column
