The mother of Yankees pitcher Joba Chamberlain has been jailed in Nebraska and faces a felony charge after being arrested on suspicion of selling methamphetamine to an undercover police officer in February.

Lincoln Police Capt. David Beggs said Monday that 44-year-old Jacqueline Standley was arrested at her apartment Saturday night.

Beggs said she allegedly sold 1 gram of a substance believed to be meth to an uncover officer for $110 on Feb. 11. The substance tested positive for meth in testing at the state laboratory.

She was charged Monday with delivery of an exceptionally hazardous drug. Her bail was set at $5,000, and she was assigned a public defender, whose name was not on her jail record.

He looked impressive after the 1st, but fwiw, "9 looking" is what you don't want to happen, so I wouldn't stress that if you're making a case for him. From a pure scouting pov, it doesn't look AS impressive because the last time he pitched against the Sox he only had two swings and misses all game - it implies a larger strikezone this time. So if you want to brag, just say 12 Ks :). Just sayin'.

Very true. A ton weren't strikes as far as the zone, but they were strikes since the ump was giving him the call. That's on the Boston batters after an inning. And Joba knew he was getting 4 inches off the plate so he stayed there - that might have been the most impressive thing about his night. Beckett was getting a very liberal strike zone too.

I was just saying that if he doesn't get that call next game, you always want to fall back on "swing and miss" stuff. And the previous game against Boston he had only TWO swing and misses all game (and I think only 2 strikeouts and was helped by 4 double plays in 5 innings). I'm not taking anything away from Joba's performance, just saying not to hi-lite the 9 "looking" Ks as much if you want to applaud his performance.

You're 100% dead on. Beckett had a big zone too but he didn't get nearly as many calls because he wasn't living on those extra four inches like Joba was. So I'm going to be nice and compliment and give credit to that fat, boozing, son of a drug dealing mother, immature, classless, douchebag of a pitcher punk who has done nothing in baseball to merit his ego. :D
