View Full Version : Howard is tired of Artie

It is PAINFULLY obvious that Howard is completely sick and tired of Artie and all of his hacky "jokes" and needless interruptions. Howard does not acknowledge anything Artie says anymore, not even a fake laugh, and it's obvious he is bored with him, just like most of his audience. Why won't Howard get rid of that unfunny piece of shit already?

We can all thank Artie for the end of the Howard Stern show.

Those things definitely did make the show less awesome, but remove Artie and the show would at least still be very good. Howard is still talented and funny even thought he has lost some of his edge. Artie on the other hand is talentless.

I agree with you dude! It is painfully obvious that Howard is very tired and dragging his ass. They have about a year and a half to go and I just don't see how Howard is going to make it.

I have said this before, Howard is in control of the show. Howard has no energy left and has become an old grouchy lady. You can't blame anyone for the decline of the show except Howard himself.

I don't think he is tired of Artie, he just wants to leave at 10 no matter what. Artie and his comments derail to show to the point that it takes time to get back on track and Howard now wants to leave on time. So now, he just ignores him, which is quicker and easier.

I really liked Artie - even though all his falling asleep I thought he was great, But Jesus Christ this past week it has been

1. Apologize
2. Make gay joke/make up a drug story
3. Kiss Howard/Beth ass so deep and so wet everyone wants to throw up.
4. Repeat

And he does not deviate from this list even a bit. WTF is wrong with him lately??

The more Artie talks, the longer it takes to end the show.
Howie wants out as soon as he can. I don't care who is sitting in the chair, if they make Hampton Howie stay a moment longer or make him put on ounce more effort into the show, he's upset with them.
I have noticed that although he is still rushing Robin's News along, it does not seem as pointed and demanding as it once was. He using a softer stick to poke her with.

I think Artie is definitely contributing to Sterns decision to leave. I know lately, as a listener, the show has become a chore. If I had to work with Artie everyday, I'd retire fuckin tomorrow.

I bet if Artie left he'd reconsider. This "I'm definately leaving" attitude is fairly recent. As is Arties over-the-top attitude.

Yeah, Howard wanted to kill artie when he offered the chick money to meet him at a hotel (Didnt' we just sit through a love poem to your new girlfriend yesterday?) then after she said no he wanted to sweeten the deal.

I love his methods of seduction: shitty, grammar school level poetry or offering to write a check for thousands of dollars.
Better yet was how he pretended that he wanted the 25 year old hottie to like him for him. To ensure this his opening line was to ask her out on a date to sit in his six-figure season ticket Yankee seats. His second date idea was having a driver whisk her away in a Town Car and introducing her to Will Ferrel backstage at an SNL taping. Yeah, she loves you for you, Artie.

Somebody should start a count for how many times Artie apologizes to Howard after failed attempts at interruption. It's getting pretty damn frequent.

That's pretty funny because Artie always claims when he's yelling at a paying fan on the wrap up show that he's knows how to read Howard and when to jump in because Howard will laugh at his interuptions but appearently that isn't happening anymore. All you here now are crickets.

Howard never should've hired a permanent replacement for Jackie.
It should've been a revolving door of comedians and or just regular celeb types who could add a different perspective and energy to the show consistantly.

Wow Clit could you please defend more? You've posted 20 times in this thread. Hell I barely come here and I can tell Howard is getting sick of Artie and his weird behavior.

For some reason Howard has always given Artie a pass on things he would have torn Jackie, Fred, Sal, or Gary apart for. I've always wondered why Artie got a pass but now I am noticing Howards distaste is showing in other ways. His reaction to Artie and his "reality" show was revealing. Both times it came up.

For me Artie started becoming increasingly annoying about 4-6 months ago and has gotten worse since then.

On mondays show it was clear that changes were made and that Howard was being pretty dismissive to Artie when he piped in. I wish Howard would have piped in earlier last month when Artie was yelling random stupid comments that didn't add to the show and frankly weren't funny to anyone but Artie's inner child.

This bullshit is Howard's fault. the man needs to grow some fucking balls, either A- Fire Artie, B- Take Artie aside and talk to him and clear this thing all up or C - pull the stick out of his ass.

Sure Artie is flailing around trying to figure out how to act sober, but Howard acting like a pent up scorned housewife, taking deep sighs under his breath and ignoring people is not doing the show ANY good.

I'm an Artie fan and sure I am getting sick of some of his behavior, but I'm a bigger Howard fan and his recent behavior has been pathetic. At least Artie is trying. Just too much, that's part of the problem.
