That is a tough one there. Many feel Mo may be finished this year but no way do I see the Yanks forcing him out. In a perfect world, Joba would be the future closer, BUT, he also has great upside as a potential starter. Can they convert a starter into a closure of trade for a future closer or get one through a trade, only time will tell.

Jerome you annoying bastard, I love ya. Wang Dang Sweet Pootang has to be given at least 4-5 more starts to prove himself. It may also be smart to get a complete physical and psych eval him to be sure that it is nothing physical as I am thinking it may be more mental.

I would love for Hughes to get all his inning while pitching in the minors because his future role will be as a starter. The Yanks claim they are getting his innings in via workouts, but that is not live game situations.

I think MLB is heading in the right direction with replays but I would like to see the Managers maybe each get two red balls each to throw out on the field if the feel a replay is needed. Now what can be viewed is a different story, home runs, sure, catches, sure, close plays at the bases, I am not so sure, foul balls, sure, etc.

Would MLB put an ump at each stadium to monitor plays and relay any questionable calls down to the field, that is an interesting thought. I would like each play and each game to be as fair and honest as possible, but baseball was meant to be called on the field, so I am a bit torn here. Any other callers with some input? John from good old Sandy Hook. My dad use to take us to Sandy Hook and do some surf fishing in the early AM and then some crabbing after lunch in the bay. What great times.

As far as resigning Nady, we first need to see how he is doing physically before we make any determinations in his regard.

Now Damon and Matsui are two good questions. As Jorge gets older and Jeter and A Rod need more games off in the field, I think the Yanks have to keep an eye on that DH position and not let it get too crowded. Matsui and Damon would put major pressure on who else can DH and this may lead to some tension. I would like to see the Yanks wait it out on all three to so who is worth keeping, but there are some better FA's available this coming off-season to explore and never count Cashman out at the trading deadline either.

Going well. Last night was the last for the Tuesday pick up session and now starts the summer hockey. Had a two week layoff and my legs felt much better than I thought they would. My next league won't start til Sept./Oct. Too bad on your league, I am guessing they do a round robin where you lose two and you're out? That's usually they way they work it in mine for the winter sessions.

Problem on the above assessment for Plax is that he's gambling with ream money and I just can't fathom how they think they could argue this one in court and win. Pretty open and shut illegal use of fire arms charge.

As for Vick, if nothing else, the Jets should take a chance on him for two reasons. One, at Wide out (if he accepts the role), he has unbelievable speed and the price will be a basement bargain. Two, he's an automatic back up for QB and gives you a real wealth of trickery at the line in modified flea flickers. Instead of some hack Wide out or RB that played QB in H.S. you have a bone fide QB you're handing it to that can also run like the wind if the downfield options are covered.

Woods has a great long game but with the grass and ground being so wet, he won't get the rolls he would have on a dry and hard turf, could play a major role in who wins this. But, the Yanks have a lot of $ riding on CC's arm for the next few years so it is in their best interests to make sure CC's arm is stable and can not be injured further. I think after CC cools off, he will realize the Yanks have his career in mind as it is nothing personal.
