this is a huge imrprovement at the pg position, with blake taking over for sergio as a backup. Miller has only missed 5 games his entire 10 year career, and has lead the league in assists, so hopefully this helps Portland in it's quest for a title. He also gets to the foul line, and actually drives to the hoop, which will take pressure off of roy. Just need a backup pf, which shouldnt be hard to improve on frye.

I am a Laker fan but I gotta say I hope to see Oden stay healthy. He seems like a decent guy and I would like to see him do well.

They also had the 2nd best record in the west. The playoffs were disappointing, but if you knew anything you would know Oden isn't the only thing in town, theres Roy and Aldridge.

this is a huge pickup, getting Miller.
Hes always been one of my Fav. PG's in the league.and totally underappreciated.
They are like 1 real good SG away from being a powerhouse in that conference I think.(if they can swing a deal in the next year or so,for a Ray Allen.or Michael Redd or someone like that..theyll be great)

Miller has the key for the 76ers last year and they are fucked without him. Lou Williams is a shooter first and Holliday is 2 years away. Brand contract was a huge mistake.

Like NiceFace said if they could get a legit SG the Blazers could challenge the Lakers.

76er's are fucked for PG's for sure. I guess you have to hope that Holliday is going to be the next Russell Westbrook. Igudola is still a beast though

Rather them make Iggy a point forward and use a starting lineup of him, Green, Young, Dalembert, and Brand.

can he run the point? I've never seen him try but if he can then he went up some points in my book

He mostly had the ball in his hands when Miller didn't and always took the big shot. 76ers offered Miller a 1 year deal, but he wanted a long term deal. 76ers have some good players, but need a legit SG and to get rid of Dalembert to be a real contender in the East.

I think this is the year Oden breaks out as long as he stays out of foul trouble along with injuries. Every time I look at the box score Oden plays 10 minutes and has 5 fouls.

When he wasn't in foul trouble I think he averaged like 16 and 9 or something like that. This is the first time he has actually been able to practice in the summer in years so that should cut down on some of his fouls. If Oden plays well then this team will be one of the best in the west. If not they will still be good but won't get out of the first round even with Miller

They babied him a lot during his knee surgery, which resulted in his mediocre play. If he were to drop 30 lbs, he would look like this.

We should trade Roy for Allen and we might contend for a title then. If we are lucky Redd is available

:mm:they don't need another sg, that is for sure. But sf is a different story, with Batum a good reserve guy but Webster is not a starter. I would dump both of them and picks for the best sf available, maybe Butler from the wiz.

And it isn't just roy, even though he carried them. Aldridge is a big time player. Things just got better with replacing sergio with andre miller. They also could use a backup pf, which outlaw is not.

Looks like Bayless is riding the pines again this year.yep, or could be used along with outlaw or webster for a banger/inside guy/rebounder. He will have his shot when blake is gone to prove he can play the point, but it could be better to play roy at the pg and bayless at the 2.

lol..whaaaat??.why.cause i said they would be great team with a sick shooter added to the roster??
dude.i know more about bball than u ever will.(no need to catch so much feelings, just cause I didnt praise ur team to already being the top Notch team of the conference,as is.)loll
if ur gna be happy with ur team squeezing MAYBE into the 8th or maybe maybe the 7th seed, thats cool..stick wit what u got now.
but nothing wrong wit me saying they can use a SF/SG..the rest of the team is tight (i really like Outlaw, roy, and Aldridge...and of course Miller..)their inside game is there, but not so much from the outside,is that a wrong assesment??

Yes it is. Portland finished 9th in 3 point shots made and 4th in percentages last year so they really don't need more of that. Also they finished tied for the 2nd best record in the west going into the playoffs so to say there are going to finsish 7 or 8 is imo wrong as well. Rudy Fernandez tied the rookie record for 3 pt shots made as well. So it kind of sounds like to me you have no idea what kind of team this is.

Saying the Blazers need another shooting guard is like saying the celtics need another PF. Its if anything there strongest position. I will add that if the Celtics can keep Garnett healthy they are the team to beat in all of the NBA for next year and in future years Im taking my team for the championship

Ok, they MIGHT need a backup SG so who is going to get their minutes cut Roy, Allen or Redd out of your choices? They dont need a star at backup just a good role player.

I know there is more to the Blazers than Sam Bowie II. The other players are young and will continue to get better but they are not going to do anything of substance in the playoffs. Blazers had the second best record in the Northwest Division but were number four in the western conference and will be one and done again next year.

Nope. You're not. I'm a foreigner in a strange state. I'd love to move back home, but there are no jobs to be had in Portland.
