Michael Vick paid $1 million to take care of the 66 pit bulls that were rescued and "may" have participated in the killing of some part of 8 dogs. He spent 2 years in prison and lost over $100 million dollars total because of it.

There was another dog that Vick killed by repeatedly slamming it to the ground- thus breaking it's back or neck.
