Meeting Yoko and Sean was really cool. She was very quiet all day but Sean was pretty talkative. We took in 8 grand at the door and at the end of the night she wrote a check and matched our take-very nice. During the day Sean was on stage tuning his bass and I asked if his mom was going to come in for a sound check and he said, "naw, just tell the soundman to crank it up and adjust it when she gets up. She will be up here screaming and shit". He was laughing, so I gathered he hears alot of shit about his moms singing. That's exactly what she did for her 1 hour set, screamed a mantra over and over-"War-War-War!!". The guitarist performing with Yoko and Sean, and who is in the photo on the left, is Thurston Moore from Sonic Youth. Man can that dude play. All in all, it was a cool evening.

Joey, you emailed me that picture of you with Yoko, Oh No! a few months ago and I didn't even recognize who she was. I thought she was a Kosovan refugee or something.

Last time I saw her (the only time, actually) she was getting out of an oversized pillow case on stage here in Toronto when she was "performing" (I use the term loosely) with John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band. As soon as she started "singing" the crowd started yelling for her to get back in the bag.

My friends that I grew up with on Long Island have a popular funk band called Rainbow Trout. The horn section played La Vita Loca on THE STERN SHOW last year in June with The Losers. HOWARD had said they were too good and were bringing HIS band up. Well these guys had a side gig with this cat Robin Andre, from Jersey City, who was down with the Refugee Camp. They got a deal with RCA and got some major development cash. They went on the road with the Dave Matthews Band and toured the East Coast. I was at home in NY and got a call at 2 AM in the morning from my buddy who was doing the sound for the show and he said he needed me to pick up a keyboard at SIR in Manhatten and run it down to S. Carolina for the next nights show. I being a good friend dutifully went to the place and picked up the keyboard and ran it down to them just in time for the show. I wound up staying on the road with them following the tour buses in my S-10. I earned my keep by doing promotional stuff for them and such. It was a great experience and I had a blast. The coolest part was that all the sound engineers and crew were from the Grateful Dead and they were using all their old equiptment. Alot of cool nights were had talking about the days on the road with the Dead. My friends and I were all serious Dead Heads back in the day.

Chill out man, none of us can get in there right now. But like Shack said, he's working on it. "HearMe" the people who provide the chatroom, is upgrading and the old version does not work anymore, unfortunately, the new version isn't quite ready yet.

We will let y'all know as soon as it is ready. I am sure there will be an announcement letting people know when Joey will be available for chat.
