there is no excusing Jahnny Bastan having having his arm over the rail and making contact with gary sheffield. that right field corner is fucking ridiculous because the fans are right on top of you with a very low wall. sheffield had a natural reaction to push the guy back so he wouldnt interfere with his throw home which prevented varitek scoring on a inside the park homer. then sheffield actually showed great restraint by not slugging the guy or draggin him by the collar onto the field. this couldve been much worse than artest/drunk guy in the ben wallace throwback. some of those boston fans are fucking animals, just like anywhere else but worse. i am glad that the yankees/redsox dont play until june.. let this whole overblown rivarly cool down a bit.
