The Wow promotion screams, " Hey this is my demographic". It doesn't separate them from any of the other "wacky" radio shows in the country(Mancow et al..) If anything it may keep some potential listeners away. Sometimes when I have listened in the past,in the promos, a bunch of guys yell "whip em out Wednesday", it just sounds lame. It sounds like cheesy frat-boy stuff. I imagine Tailhook sounded something like that. Do you have your Wow t-shirt yet? bet it will match your acid-wash jeans. I'm sure Wow key chains, ties and mugs are on the way. People love gimmicks.

Blame them not for they know not what they say...................it's a LOCAL radio phenomenon that takes place in the afternoon when the kids come home from school and the peeps are driving in their cars and calling into the show. They have done lots of zany and wacky stunts on the air and have been relentless in getting HOWARDS attention to take them to the next level. I was actually the source for one of their biggest on-air stunts (more to follow at another time). They will never get to where HOWARD is. They have done great things on radio that I have laughed my ass off at but at the same time they are disengenuous and cannot carry a show with the honesty/integrity and humor that HOWARD and company can.

Although I don't think WOW is the greatest promotion in the history of radio, I'll give those scumbags a compliment, trying to get the attention of Howard Stern is a good promtoion in itself. If I were trying to get attention as a radio disc jockey, I too would yell LOVE ME DADDY to the god of radio.

I would say the best radio prank recently was that bonehead that burried himself in concrete.That was on the news everywhere.

Somebody was saying on one of these boards that someone painted WOW on a Stern billboard.Is that true?If it is,it is about as lame as it gets.

All I'd like to know is why are we still talking about these two losers!
