I hate Robin. She is easily the dumbest person on the show. Her apperances on Jeopardy are obviously staged. They give a lot of the answers to the cleb. contestants anyway, they must give her all of them.

She shows her lack of a brain in the little comments she makes during Howard's conversations. There are too many to list, but perhaps I should start trying.

I have been listening to the Stern show for about 14 years, and up until the last year or so, I have been able to tolerate Robin Quivers. I have noticed that, in the last year or so, she seems to inject herself into EVERYTHING, even if she has absolutely nothing interesting to contribute. During the birthday show I had to switch the channel during the Eric Roberts interview, she was THAT annoying.
But the worse part about Robin Quivers is that she will say something unfunny, and than start laughing after she has said it, and I'm thinking to myself, What the F**k is she laughing about?!!, sometimes I feel like punching the car dashboard. It's like a comedian laughing at his own jokes, even though nobody else thinks it's funny. She has really gotten out of hand, and someone should remind her of her place on the show. Maybe she is suffering from premature senile dementia, if so, she should retire and be on her way.

You sure you ain't talking about Jackie?
He has to be the worst stand-up IMO.

He may not be the greatest stand-up comic, but he has been great for the show.

Back to Robin. I agree with how irritating her inane laughing is, but you see, it's there for a purpose, and that is to maintain an upbeat, funny atmosphere for the show. She isn't supposed to be funny, or clever (she'd be gone in an instant if she were). She has definitely increased her presence on the show of late, with her constant interrupting. At times Howard has mentioned it and asked her to stop, but you know that if it were really bothering him, it would disappear instantaneously. As annoying as she is, she's perfect for her role. I have recommended friends and relatives to listen to the show, but some of them were so turned off to her constant laughing that they tuned out, never to return. oy .

Like I said, I have been listening for 14 years, and I don't recall her ever being this annoying, never to the point that I have to turn the dial, and that pisses me off royally. It would be pretty funny,if, as a goof, they(Andre?) started to edit out most of her cackling(or to borrow an idea from "The Pope of Greenwich Village", someone should put lye in her coffee).

Robin is a perfect sidekick for Howie! Her laugh is very infectious and she knows just the right thing to say. She backs up her main man, Howie, just like a sidekick is supposed to do. If something has stalled a little, Robin can interject her thoughts (even if it's a word or two), and get things going again. She's a great pick-me-up for Howie! She's on the same wave length as Howie and she adds a lot to the show. Luv, Suzy!

Her laugh isn't infectious, it is downright annoying. There was a time when she didn't laugh as much, and didn't get in the way of interviews, but for some reason she has turned into the Kathie Lee Griffith of morning radio. She isn't that smart(I read between 3 or 4 newspapers a day and I am amazed at her feeble grasp of current events) or that interesting.

Not to be disagreeable with my respected colleagues above but I think Robin ads a lot to the show.

For one thing her presence alone authenticates Howard’s ability to speak provocatively and forthrightly about racial issues. Although I’m still not used to her screeching-like laugh I do find it funny when she turns it weapon-like on the enemies of the show.

Robins news is one of my favorite segments of the show. She’s the perfect straight man for Howard, who uses her news items as platforms to perform his magic-like impromptu moments of greatness.

My one complaint about the recent (tape delay) road show is that it omitted the news…..albeit old news.

I understand what you are saying Slick, but don't you think she has stepped up the cackling ALOT in the last year or so?, to the point where it sometimes unbearable?.

I believe your right Kang…..definitely more cackling episodes of longer duration………...a harbinger perhaps?

A harbinger of what?, Slick, a complete nervous breakdown? Pardon my cruelty, but that would make for some interesting radio.

Normally I don't take requests... but Robin has been way out of hand lately.

Robin is not the enemy, and I for one love her. If you wanna talk about annoying, talk about Christina Aguilera. That chick needs to drink some tequilla laced with sianide (or however you spell that). But any law enforcement persons please know that I would never kill anyone. My motivation is staying away from prison and getting my bum raped by big black guys, cool?

IMHO people underestimate the .... “importance of being Robin” . She’s always there backing up Howard and never complains…..never explains. No one could ever replace her and bring to the table what she does. Yes, Yes…..I know the annoying cackling laugh….big deal.

….. “I'd love to bend her over the sink!” …hehehe

well Yankme …. In that case Robin would most likely consider you a fan. Since 90% of the posters here would rather bend her over a guillotine.

I'm with yankme. As with Jackie, Robin, Cabbie, Benjy and Ralph they are all just jealous because they get to be close to the King. I for one love em all. That's right, I'm a Howard Stern whore!!!
