Man I was downloading some Mr methane shit on napster and what to I see. Mr methane on mancow! This guy was saying that this was Mr methane first American appearance. I can't stand that guys voice. I also have an icp song where they went on his show to promote slim anus. In both of these I was forced to delete them cause of his stupid ass comments\jokes.

The only time I ever heard Man Queer he was saying how stern rips off his ideas and that Howard is to old and out of touch, then about 2 minutes later he does The Homeless Game.

Yeah, the douchebag made a big stink about switching stations a few years back cause his speech was being curtailed, etc.

He conveniently forgot to add that he was tripling his pay, too. If he mentioned that, who could blame him?

Sometimes he gets away with all these "1sts" because his listeners don't listen to Howard, or he cuts 'em off before they expose him for the fraud he is!

FCC slaps Mancow with $14,000 fine

Mancow Muller's Chicago radio station has been slapped with a $14,000 fine for broadcasts deemed indecent by the Federal Communications Commission.

WKQX-FM (101.1) was cited for "willfully and repeatedly broadcasting indecent language" on "Mancow's Morning Madhouse," Muller's Chicago-based syndicated morning show.

Acting on complaints from listeners, the FCC specifically cited Muller's shows from March 20, 2000, and May 15, 2000.

In the first, Muller aired a telephone conversation with a porn actress who described a sexual act in graphic language. In the second, he played a recorded bit in which three women discuss their sexual practices in explicit detail while moaning airs in the background.

The $14,000 fine--$7,000 for each incident--was the first issued since the FCC released new guidelines for broadcast indecency. The rules attempt to clarify the policy banning "patently offensive" material that describes sexual or excretory organs or activities.

Even before he had seen the FCC notice, Muller was quick to defend his show.

"I'm very aware of everything that goes on on that show, and I can't imagine that we would step over and break the rules," he said. "However, it's almost impossible to tell where the rules are, the way it's written. That's what's tough.

"I certainly want to have a good show, and I really don't want to go over that [FCC] line because I don't want to get fined. I don't need that hassle."

Muller expressed confidence that Q-101's parent company, Indianapolis-based Emmis Communications, would challenge the FCC's citation. But Emmis bosses voiced no such support Monday for their controversial $3 million-a-year shock jock.

"We have nothing to say at this time," said a spokeswoman for Emmis. "They're still talking about what's going to happen next."

The company has 30 days to respond to the FCC action.

The material in question seems typical fare for Muller's show. (In fact, a running bit on Monday's show featured a discussion about oral sex that sounded just as explicit as one cited by the FCC.)

By making a federal case out of it, however, the FCC threatens to tarnish the carefully crafted image of Emmis bosses Jeff Smulyan and Doyle Rose as responsible and conscientious broadcasters.

The timing couldn't be worse for Muller, whose contract is up for renewal in July. His ratings are slipping and legal woes growing.

"Whether or not I'll be at Q-101 remains to be seen," he said. "There's a lot of interest in the show from a lot of people."

Good to see that, but unfortunately he's got a ways to go before he approaches the $$$$$$ of fines imposed on Stern/Infinity.

Hopefully Emmis will decide he ain't worth the trouble, and even more so, the same for ALL Chicago radio; let him try his luck on Howard's turf and watch the sparks fly!

When I moved to Chicago, I liked him. He was pretty ok. Then the more I listened to him...the more he pissed me off. A bunch of idiots listen to him and not to be rude, but America is dumb enough w/o stupid Mancow making them dumb with incorrect information. If you ever listen to him (we do listen during the long ass breaks on Stern...but I ususally get pissed off and start yelling at him) I would say at least 80% of his guests correct Mancow on his information and he just gets pissed off and goes ahead with his crappy interviews.

Awhile back I won an autographed guitar from Q101 and when I went over there, stupid "Cowboy Ray" aka, Rip off on Hank the Angry Dwarf, was sitting in the "Lava Love Lounge" which, may I add, is just the Lobby in their office. (GAY) He was the stupidest person I have ever....EVER (and I grew up in Central Illinois mind you) spoken with in my life.

Anyone notice on Napster how some stupid mutha-f'ers name their files as being Howard Stern? I downloaded that ICP Slim Anus bit 'cuz it said Howard Stern, then Manqueer was laughing at the end of it. Type in Howard in a search, and you'll find quite a few stupid-ass bits from other radio shows like "Donald Duck gets a blow job" and "Darth Vader orgasm". It's so friggin' annoying.:hmph:
