View Full Version : Would you pay 14.99 for InDemand?
blues 08-27-2005, 08:49 PM Holy fuckin Hey Nows!! I just took the InDemand poll, and the 4th or 5th question was "Would you pay $14.99 a month for Howard's show?" I couldn't find the 'You must be outta your goddamn mind' option, so I selected Not Likely. Then then next five questions dropped the dollar amount til I said Maybe. That lil auction ended around 5 bucks a month...I love Big Nose, and I have technically been paying 3 bucks or so a month in order to download his show CF and 'unedited' since I live in a terrible market. And I will pay to hear him on sirius...but get real, dude, dont try to stick it to us just cuz we love ya.....
conspire 08-27-2005, 08:53 PM I wouldn't pay 14.99...NO. I would pay 5 bucks. I have XM now, and already I have to ditch my sub/equipment, and buy new equipment etc... I hope the TV isn't TOO expensive.

I would try it for at least a month just out of curiousity.
You pay to download the radio show?
mochinist 08-27-2005, 08:59 PM I dont even have the option unless I decide to ditch my dish sattelite and get cox cable. But in answer to your question, fuck no. I guess I will just learn how to use newsgroups and get them there.
Sirius_Sam22 08-27-2005, 10:34 PM ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!
$15 is fucking nuts. Where is this poll ????????/
indemand.com does not have any poll
Jakyll 08-27-2005, 10:42 PM I already have to ditch my XM shit and purchase a SIRIUS radio. 15 bucks for the show? i can't see it.
besides - one guy with a sub and access to a.b.h-s will make it available to everyone withing hours. I'm willing to stake $10 paypal on that
FTimmysSkull 08-27-2005, 10:45 PM im gona ditch the pay moviechannels and go with the indemand, break even that way
M4d|Scient1st 08-27-2005, 11:16 PM fuck no I already pay for sirius to listen and now pay more to watch the show I say again FUCK NO
Sirius_Sam22 08-27-2005, 11:22 PM There is going to have to be some MAJOR changes they way digital cable and on/in-demand for the future.
How the hell is everyone going to be able to afford all this crap?
WWE, Gay/Lesbo Ondemand, Stern Indemand, and a bunch of new stuff to come out.
Canada has a bunch of different On-demand type stuff.
Jakyll 08-27-2005, 11:27 PM Canada has a bunch of different On-demand type stuff.
Not really, our on-demand is movies, uncensored Springer shows, etc that are on DirecTV PPV in the states, and free On-Demand stuff like movies that are on ShoTime, etc and past episodes of HBO shows. Fair assumption we won't get Stern On-Demand. When it comes to consumer choice and up to the second events, Canada is usually a day or year behind USA. Thats why I have illegal DirecTV.
Captain Sack 08-28-2005, 12:05 AM i thought indemand was IN DEMAND you pay a couple bucks for each show you want to watch.
Campbell 08-28-2005, 12:14 AM I would pay the $14.99 to watch his show. Especially the satellite shows. Didn't they say that each show will be an hour long? That's awesome! An hour show with no bleeps, censers, and commericals.
JackiesAppleBag 08-28-2005, 12:35 AM No. I have DTV anyway and as much as I hate to say it , my NFL Ticket comes before Howard. I was never that big of a fan of the E show anyway and enoy the "Theatre of the Mind" aspect of the show. I'm going to buy Sirius but paying for that and the tv show seems a little excessive.

It's not a poll, it's a survey they're sending out to members of Howard Stern On Demand Research Panel (http://www.indemand.com/HSOD/).
I started a thread about it and posted some pics of the questions they were asking.

user73 08-28-2005, 08:11 AM $14.99...no, $5.00...maybe. I'd try it out and see how it looks and go from there.
Dbone39 08-28-2005, 09:19 AM 9.99 the max. No more. 30 bucks a month to listen and watch stern isn't worth it.
Baby_Gorilla 08-28-2005, 09:31 AM if they stacked it with tons of original programing that was not on the radio show it would be cool. but if they just re-play an hour of the show everyday $15 is much too high. don't forget that he is doing 4 day work weeks and more vacation so in months when he takes no vacataion you could get 16 hours of shows, but months like august/december when he takes lots of vacation you will get about 8-12 hours. personally i think that if you have 16 hours a month to watch stern that you have way too much time on your hands and should find a hobby/new profession. i dont think i watch 16 hours of tv in a month so obviously i will skip indemand. i'm also a little bummed that sirius will not be re-playing the radio show all day. i guess he only wants morning people as his target market.
weezer051876 08-28-2005, 01:13 PM It depends on what is going to be offered on the channel. If you are able to access all the e shows and his past works like new years rotten eve and various pay-per view specials then yes it would be worth around $12 to $15 a month. It would be better than rejuvination if the wwor tv shows were included somehow.
Oskeewow 08-28-2005, 01:24 PM They better be offering a nonstop high def feed for $15/month.
Dr.Gonzo 08-28-2005, 01:35 PM Wow. . .15$!. . . .15 DOLLARS!!!. . .30 hours of SHOW a month. . .that's about 50 cents an hour. . .hope I don't go broke. . .

demimonde 08-28-2005, 02:17 PM no, i'm not interested in seeing big boobs and sluts.....and i'm certainly hoping the show goes back to how it was before the e show was involved.
wm2044 08-28-2005, 02:41 PM f that. $15 is way too high when we'll already be paying $13 for sirius. he should leave it on cable and release uncensored dvds - but maybe that would be too much work for the big guy. they talked about uncensored dvds of the e! show for years and never delivered.
either way - i think they should have cameras in the studios now so they can capture the last few months for posterity. it can't be that difficult to put a few clips online now and then. instead of just throwing up one jpeg everyday.
