He had a big audience in the south. I remember hearing about him killing a pig on the air or something like that, he badmouthed Howard all the time too. It's cool that Howard is putting his ego aside on this. I just hope he doesn't bring Manqueer to Douche 100.

bubba was on in Connecticut for a short time up against howard, and was rarely funny. Boggers hit it right on the nose, he is just crude and way over the top. He thought being outrageous would in and of itself entertain people, and he was wrong. The best part of his show was that he had Hulk Hogan on alot and that isn't saying much

This guy is the perfect definition of a hack. He was never in my local market, but i have heard many clips online and definitely not worth your time.

I like Bubba. Never had Howard in Tampa till Bubba got fired. He is all about girls, drinking, & just regular guy stuff. Everyone says that Bubba or anyone else is a ripoff of Howard but who isn't. If somebody has a stripper on their show their ripping Howard off. I love Howard now as well, got my Sirius ready and can't wait to hear both these guys.

I used to pick up Bubba on the CT station when I was living on Long Island. Every once in awhile I would switch over when Howard went to commercials just to see if this guy had anything interesting going on. 9 out of 10 times he would be badmouthing Howard and talking shit.....he was actually trying to get Howard to box him. What a fucking fat hack.

He shouldn't be hired just because of his retarded and douchy name. But Howard bad-mouths everyone and they bad-mouth him back, so that's not a reason for Howard not to hire him if he is good.

As far as having Wendy the Retard or HPE having their own show, I can promise you that it will be entertaining for about 45 seconds and then be totally unlistenable. I think King of All Blacks would do a good show or maybe Shuli, Double A, or Joey Boots, but most of the wack packers are mainly funny because Howard makes them funny. They would suck for 30 minutes straight or even 15 minutes. Nothing against Wendy or HPE personally (I don't want to get banned again), but I'm just saying they aren't cut out to host an entertaining radio show.

this is NOT about FAT sponge being "talented" or not. it's a statement against the FCC. pure and simple.

also, SIrius is Big. there's room for lots of people. I'm sure talented people like Kid Chris, Rev Bob, etc will all get time on Howard's new channels.
i'll only listen to the talented people, but if former listeners of bubba get to hear what THEY want, howard will have made HIS point.

I've heard him a few times, he had Hulk Hogan as a regular call in guy. He's actually not that bad - total Stern Clone, but now that he working for the Master, the cloneing might tone down a bit.

I finally listened to the rest of the show today and I see what you mean that he is just hiring the guy because he got fucked over by the FCC and Clear Channel. I guess that is a noble reason, but Howard better be careful about going to war with the FCC and the Bush administration. If he annoys them enough, they will find a way to crush him like they crush anyone else they don't care for.

It's SMART of Howard to do this. He's not only offering a haven from the FCC, but he's pulling in experienced broadcasters to fill the channels. This will give the fledgling satellite station loads more credibility than a University radio station, with an endless stream of inexperienced thick-tongues who hope to be interesting.

Sure, it might be amusing for a while, but it gets painfully tedious to listen to rank amateurs, each trying to entertain with their own 'show.'

I was thinking this as well. Phil Hendrie would be an amazing addition to Howard's force. I haven't heard Kidd Chris' radio show, but he is a friend of the show and has contributed many great bits :boobies:, would love to see him come too.

He can be funny at times like when wrestlers are on and they make fun of others wrestlers. I think he was the first guy to play Macho Man Randy Savage's rap album and I laughed my ass off at that.

What pissed me off about him was he would go 30 minutes of dissing howard and saying how he sucks and is old, etc.. Then the rest of his show he would interview a boring naked stripper and keep saying how hot she.

It doesn't even sound like Howard likes him but whatever gets Sirius more subs is fine with me.

I live in Orlando and Bubba had a good show, it was a somewhat Stern clone show. Right before he got fired he was saying that XM or Sirius should hire Stern in mornings Bubba middays and O&A for afternoon drive. Bubba turned real when he was getting fired, kissing Howards ass.

I also remember Howard and Artie goofing on Bubba and saying that bubba would never be on his channel.

i think howard is being quite brilliant here. it's this kind of genius business move that i have always admired about howard (and Super Agent Buckwald, obviously). Howard can see the Big Picture. And the big picture is that a blow has to be leveled at the FCC and the vampires in the government.

I just heard Bubba for the first time, I thought I was listening to Howard Stern "BEST OF"

Bubba's voice sounds exactly like Howards voice back in the day, You know like on Best Of when Howard's voice is higher pitch and he speaks a lot more quickly, Bubba voice is very close to Howard's, it was able to fool me for a few seconds.

Yea, he has an annoying voice and I don't even think that Howard thinks he's talented. He was huge in the south, and his fans are likely to go with Sirius if he's there.

I've never heard Bubba. Hopefully, he'll be a good addition to the SIRIUS lineup. I'm certainly not going to dump on the guy, especially giving the fact that I've never had the chance to listen to him. I'm more than willing to give him a shot. Good luck, Bubba. However, he should think about changing his name. Bubba the Love Sponge is almost as stupid as Greggo or the Blazer. It's better than Opie, tho. :D

Yeah I heard Howard say that also, I wouldnt be surpised if Bubba is a guest on the Stern Show, and probably a few days before 09/29/05, which I believe is the day Howard said his Sirius channel 100 goes live!!
