Andre Agassi said he thinks so today after losing to him in the US Open final today. He is unbeatable. At the moment he is higher up in the tennis world than Tiger Woods is in the golf world. Incredible to see someone dominate a sport like he is.

I don't really know anything about tennis, but the guy's lost, what, 3 matches this year? Insane.

3 out of his last 74 matches.

Longevity is his only enemy now. He needs to break Sampras' record to seal the deal.
The only other rap against him is that his competition isn't as stacked as it was in the Agassi/Sampras/Courier era...

Federer has to stand the test of time to prove himself worthy of the mantle "Greatest tennis player of all time."
And he will be questioned because of his dominance, meaning that people will say, "He beat everyone so easily...so the other players couldn't have been that good."

he has a weak backhand, and average everything else.
but he makes it work because he is very smart.

I don't see any weaknesses with the guy. I don't think Roddick has ever beaten him even those he is probably the only one who can come close.

No way man. The competition is there, it's just that he's so much better than anyone else that they can't compete with him. Hewitt, Roddick, Nadal, Safin are all studs and would be winning a lot more slams if it wasn't for Federer. Agassi was doing so well to take him off his game during the finals, then just let it get away from him. I was pulling for the old man - but he crashed and burned.

By "Greatest" I meant possessing the highest level of ability at any one time. I do not think you can argue that he faces poor competition. Players like Andy Roddick and Lleyton Hewitt would be winning quite a bit, but not when Federer is around.
