I love the programming, but im a little dissapointed in the reception and stuff. Plus i live in an apartment building where it's not really possible to put the antenea on top of the building so i only have it in the car :( kali 09-12-2005, 04:59 PM Mine will go in and out for a few minutes, then it's fine. gee, how Romantic! --------- Hanger 17 - Rest In Peace Miller 09-12-2005, 06:01 PM Mine home unit has acted up after Midnight from time to time but I didn’t place my antenna outside like you are supposed to do. The cutouts only last for a minute or two at most. I assume this is caused by the handoff between satellites. Plus i live in an apartment building where it's not really possible to put the antenea on top of the building so i only have it in the car :( Sirius is digital so there should be no static unless you are using the FM modulator and getting interference that way. Try switching the fm channel when this happens or connecting it directly via cables. SantosLHalper 09-12-2005, 06:17 PM this may help u decide where to pint yer antenna. http://home.comcast.net/~mjlb/images/globexmsiriusbig.gif tonyshog 09-14-2005, 12:53 PM it's hard to keep mine from getting jacked when i go through the dark part of town... King Of All Chris's 09-18-2005, 04:43 PM http://home.comcast.net/~mjlb/images/globexmsiriusbig.gif No wonder my reception is so good. It flies right over Missouri. I don't even have my antenna near a window. King Of All Chris's 09-18-2005, 04:48 PM I also have this antenna and highly recomend it. I have read reviews where people who had poor reception bought this antenna and it fixed it. I have so much Sirius bullshit, I mix and match just to try and see what works! BaBaMikey 09-19-2005, 02:12 PM As you can see from the image above, Sirius' satellites are constantly moving, versus XM's which are always in the same place relative to the earth's motion. This makes it a little harder to properly aim a Sirius antenna. |
