Sports gambling is a hobby of mine so I thought I'd start posting my pics and see if there were any other gamblers out there with their own pics of the day.
1. NOTRE DAME -5 (the line started at -6 1/2) over Michigan St. Charlie Weiss has made me a believer and I can't believe people are buying all the hype about the visiting team always winning in this series. This is a new era of ND football, touchdown Jesus will be smiling today.
2. SOUTH CAROLINA +2 at home over Alabama. S.C> is in their first year w/ new coach Steve Spurrier, formerly of U of Fla. While he was a clown at the pro level, Spurrier is considered an offensive genius at the college level. SC looked tough against a good Georgia squad last week while Alabama bumbled along in their win over Mississippi. Mike Shula, coach of Alabama is an asshat and has never one a big game. Spurrier could out coach this guy with a blindfold on, this is my favorite of the day
3. Miami -7 at CLEMSON. Miami is pissed after losing to Fla. St ( my Alma Matta) in a game they really should have won. This is another ACC game and a crucial one for Miami if they are going to be in the running for a decent bowl game at the end of the season. Clemson is led by Charlie Whitehurst, a negro with speed and skills but will just chuck it up if you get him rattled. IMHO, Miami has too much depth and speed for Clemson to really compete here although Death Valley is a tough place to play for visiting teams.
4. FLORIDA - 6 1/2 over Tennessee. The Gators have had their asses handed to them at home the last 2 years during the Ron Zook era but a new sheriff is in town as head coach, I cant remember his name right now but he's the offensice genius from Utah. Their new offense has been a little hit and miss so far but they're looking more and more comfortable with it. Tenn has 2 young quarterbacks they switch in and out and are spotty when it comes to consistentcy. I like the Gators at home, this is a big rivalry and the Gators are going to be looking to make a statement with a win here.
5. Florida St -2 at Boston College. As I said before, Fla St is my alma matta ( I got to watch Deon Sanders play at Doak Campbell stadium my freshman year) so loyalty does play a part here. BC is in their first year in the ACC nad alot of people have them pegged as the dark horse in the conference. They've looked good so far but haven't really played anyone of the Seminoles caliber yet. Fla St has struggled mightly at quarterback w/ 2 freshmen taking the helm but the defense is pro caliber and were single handidly responsible for the win over Miami. Until BC can prove they can hanf with the big dogs I gotta stick w/ the proven talent. GO SEMINOLES!
Good Luck!
