View Full Version : How long will Infinity put up with it?
Krunch 09-30-2005, 04:37 PM Everyday, all day howard does a commerical for sirius, everyday, i bet its driving them f' in nuts, but they have sold the ad spots, i wonder if they will crack
its to funny, his show is a 4 hr commerical
drkodos 09-30-2005, 05:29 PM Thta's why it's always been called commercial radio.
Reggin 09-30-2005, 06:32 PM Hey, I'd do the same if I were Howard.
fstick 09-30-2005, 06:33 PM i'm betting it will be less than 48 days :D
jmcn72 09-30-2005, 07:39 PM i'm betting it will be less than 48 days :D
Hope so. I'm all setup with SIRIUS, home and both cars. Been set for a year now!

I still have to put my car kit in.......been waiting for the date to get closer........have it here in the apartment on the boombox and it's the best. :hw:
ChronoSkooma17 09-30-2005, 07:44 PM What's the worst they can do? Pull him off the air?
He's been begging for them to take him off the air so he can vacation in Italy. If they take him off right now, it'll only help make his debut on Sirius more dramatic and exciting.
bababooey2uall 09-30-2005, 07:51 PM I was thinking the same thing....I don't know if he will make it to the end of the year. I'm sure he will turn up the heat even more as it gets closer to Jan 1.
Or Howard may behave because he doesn't want to get fired and then not get paid. Viacom could claim that he violated his contract and then Howie would lose a few million bucks. So he may be more low key about it.
Reggin 09-30-2005, 07:53 PM They won't pull him off the air, they will lose too much money.
Krunch 09-30-2005, 08:05 PM Hope so. I'm all setup with SIRIUS, home and both cars. Been set for a year now!
i have the car set, got it at best buy, kid says its sirus ready, just call um, so i call um, they say "um.. you need another piece, the stero being ready just means you can plug it into the receiver" another hundred later im all set, damn kids
King Of All Chris's 09-30-2005, 08:05 PM He's got them bent over a chair now. The dumb asses at Infinity should have fired him immediately after he announced he was going to Sirius. Howard has played this brilliantly. There is nothing they can do now.
Deadfork2 09-30-2005, 08:10 PM No way they are letting him go. The 4th quarter is sold. They would lose way too much money.
SteelRat 09-30-2005, 08:49 PM Hey, the show's always been about whatever's on Howard's mind. It's only natural. :D
ChronoSkooma17 09-30-2005, 09:52 PM I'd actually prefer for the show to get taken off the air right now. I don't want Howard to be bored after his 1st week on Sirius. I want to hear nothing but new things...new bumpers, new sound clips(keep the classics), new parody songs.
I want the show to debut with Howard's opening song, and then 30 seconds of dead air, and then you hear Howard in the background yelling at Scott The Engineer. That'd be a perfect debut. :D
Sir Sire 09-30-2005, 10:01 PM They will put up with it until the end, he makes them a boat load of cash and they know it and will ride it out to the end.

I want the show to debut with Metallica's "Free Speech" song, where they end the song with "Free Fucking Speech", that would be the first "Fuck" mention on Howard's show which would be cool, it's a great song with a very cool guitar riff.
P.S. Everytime he talks aboput Sirius it makes me laugh because I can almost hear Joel Hollander shitting his pants.
lemalk 09-30-2005, 10:25 PM I agree with King of All Chris's - the industry can't do anything about the mentions now.
Inifinity should've paid Howard's contract out and sent him packing on day one.
Then again, that's what's wrong with radio - it's the most narrow-minded medium (other than newspaper).
Baby_Gorilla 09-30-2005, 11:07 PM i must admit to being bored off my ass during all of the planning for the first day. ok your going to get live farters, now get on with the bits. i guess i was never really of fan of the fart guys and now hours of talking about fart guys is just kind of boring.

how long do u think before howard says to scott "why did i bring you to sirius"
ChronoSkooma17 09-30-2005, 11:32 PM Let me say this. THERE WILL BE TECHNICAL ISSUES, and Scott will be blamed for 99.9% of them. Just hearing Scott yell brings a smile on my face.
"I TOLD YOU NOT TO USE THE GOD DAMN TAPE!!!!!!!!!!!!"
fahcue 09-30-2005, 11:32 PM You will know monday, It is the start of the 4th 1/4.

I am guessing Bababooey gets blamed for the other 0.1%?
ChronoSkooma17 09-30-2005, 11:47 PM Gary usually gets blamed for a bit fucking up or a guest not coming in, like thinking Sly Stallone was supposed to come in a month before his actual appearance date.
I wonder what Ronnie is going to do at Sirius besides sit in his little chair and act like he's in the mafia.
