Hey, I'm looking to buy into sirius soon. But I have no idea which ones to buy.
I need a portable unit that can be used in my car (with FM modulator) and used at work *with headphones* and be able to hook it up to my stereo at home.
What sort of antennaes do I need, and whats the reception going to be like if I'm in the middle of an office building?
I don't need some jumbo assed sized boombox. It's a shame Sirius doesn't have a walkman-like receiver... yet.
If there's already a thread about this, point me to it and kick my ass.

They are basically all the same. Some Plug 'n Play units have FM modulators. Some don't. They are all basically made by one company. The big name electronics makers then slap their names on them. A good site to check is Crutchfield (click here) (http://www.crutchfield.com) .
I have the Sirius Starmate. It's about the size of a pack of cancer sticks.

Is Howard actually going live on the 1st of January? Does he actually go in to work on New Year's Day? - Sorry if this is a stupid question. Just want to make sure I don't miss the very first Sirius show.

I think he's revised his first day to be January 8th or 9th. so that we the listeners can "enjoy our holiday"
