I own a 2005 Chevy Silverado. Obviously I have an XM setup in there now but never reup'd my contract with them after the 6 month trial ran out. I am definetly going to get Sirius this month but I have no idea how it works. Is there anyone that either owns a Chevy truck with the stock BOSE head unit that can tell me what unit to buy and how to install it?

Im assuming you have the Bose with the built in XM, which cant be taken out unless you removed and replaced the entire receiver. You can get the proper hardware for your type of receiver in order to listen to Sirius without R&R. I dont know which thread but check out the Sirius forum on this and post your question there for more detailed equipment descriptions. Good luck!

I would keep the stock Bose unit and just buy one of the Sirius PnP units, like the Sportster or Sportster Replay. If the Bose unit has a aux input, you can wire directly to it, if not you can buy a wired FM modulator relay which will provide a better signal to your Bose. Install a Sirius antenna and you're done. :)
