I have been buying Sirius stock for awhile, and think it should be going up. I am not sure why people would pay to hear O&A, but I wonder if that is what people are saying about Howard.

The real question is how many subscribers will Howard bring with him?

I really think this guy is on the money with his write-up on XM and Sirius and how Stern will have an impact.

The only reason i was listenin to O&A on XM was because they said some interesting stuff about Howard - now they just knock him for the sake of making themselves look good, and it just sounds desperate.... Only reason I am not Sirius yet is I am waiting for this new portable to drop.

I agree these O&A guys are jackasses. I was hoping to hear some thoughts on what everyone thought of Sirius subscriber growth and if they had moved over yet or were moving like Jakyll posted. I figured since this group was the closest to Stern you would have some good thoughts on if they are going to do well in Q4 and what your plans were.

I do really apologize if this came across as SPAM as it was not meant to be at all. I just wanted to get feedback on my thoughts on Stern moving to Sirius.

I am not sure what I would gain personally though my post since I have nothing to advertise and if I was trying to sell Sirius I think I would be posting to the wrong group, since I assume most of you already have it or are planning on getting it.

Anyway I am still learning the rules of this board. I am just interested in Stern moving to satellite for many reason, including the hope that he does very well and others follow.

If you are asking for the opinion of the hardest of the hardcore Stern fans, you can predict what our answer to your questions will be. If you wanted more in-depth answers...well, that's why I pointed you to the Sirius Forum where you'll find a plethora of opinionated posts. In your last post, you claimed "assumptions" about us; so, doesn't that then answer the questions you posed earlier?

Nobody thinks about O&A. The only people who even know who O&A are Stern fans who have had to put up with them or ex-Stern fans who are disgruntled with the show and now listen to O&A. Ask anyone else on the street who O&A are and they'll have no fucking clue.

This is why XM stock is more stable. They have added more subs since O&A and MLB were added to XM than Sirius has to date. And with Satellite expanding to Canada, they added NHL while Sirius is losing that contract this year. XM is making better deals for the future. Sirius put a 1/2 billion $ bet on a show with a limited future.

I am a huge Stern supporter and really hope he blows away all these estimates out there with subsciber numbers. I get pissed off when people say he does not make an impact.

Sirius = Howard Stern
XM = ? Music? NASCAR? No mention of O&A.
No one even know who those douchebags are outside of the markets where they were broadcasting.

Howard IS radio.

And the SIRIUS stock price has been in flux because they've already adjusted the price based on what Stern will bring.
But once 1st and 2nd quarter numbers come back in 2006 is when we will see the price adjustment.

sirius stock being in the shitter has nothing to do with Stern, just as XM stock is not higher than Sirius because of OA.

Personally, I prefer XM and wish Stern had signed with them and OA got stuck with Sirius.

I wish O&A joined Howard at Sirius doing afternoons.
