Howard wont admit that his choice to hire him was wrong, (he still pretends Artie is funny). Im not sure if Howard is paying Bubba the Hack out of his own pocket, or if Sirius is paying him. Either way, I don't think he'll be successful on the Stern channels.

Today, Howard made some progress as far as creativity goes. Although I hate the SeaBethscuit and Double Gay show idea, I LOVED the AngryBlack/KOAB show and the HPE show idea.

I noticed that too as I sat in two hours worth of traffic on the PA Turnpike. I thought it as just me though.

I don't get Bubba's humor, but since he seems to have a somewhat loyal following in the south maybe that'll be enough.

In Tampa Bay, Howard wasn't here till a few years ago, and then on the AM station he's still on. Or if you were lucky, you could grab the Orlando FM station.

Bubba was big with the kids in the afternoon on a lame top 40 station in the early 90's.

Then he switched to a decent rock station from 6-10 AM (sound familiar?).

He talked ALOT of shit...because he knew his listeners probably couldn't hear Howard even if they wanted to.

Imho, he's a hack with an attitude. But it's fun to hear him kiss Howard's ass now, after all the shit he's said about him over the years.

John Boy & Billy are some Bubba wannabes if you can believe that. They scream about NASCAR and hillbilly crap all morning. I'm amazed at the number of stations that they have. Someone must be listening to that crap.

i havent heard today's show yet but i know what you mean. howard is now using his show like an audio listing service for his two channels.
i dont care what may or may not be going on over at his channels yet, i want to be entertained on his PRESENT show. last week's show were terrible.

You raise an interesting point tho...Bubba has his 'army' or whatever, just like the rest. Thing is tho, all this time they've been nodding in agreement like idiots with all the crap Bubba has ever said.

Now they have to watch their god suck up to Howard, and ultimately Bubba will be revealed for the bullshit he's said, as listeners who never heard Howard before will see where Bubba robbed all his material from.

On the other hand, Howard's fans may not think much of Bubba, but we'll tolerate him. After all, Howard's still great, so who gives a shit about Bubba, right?

It's classic Howard. He wished on the air that they would buy out his contract but they wouldn't do it. They seem to have tried to stifle any goodbye tributes for Howard and they got their nasty warnings to Howard intially when he first announced the Sirius deal instead of being classy about it, respecting his 20 years of loyal servcie as he redefined the industry and brought in millions where nothing close existed before. So, as his payback to them, he is now pushing the envelope, doing more and more promo, knowing they can't axe him now because they have no immediate replacement and ads are already sold....it is insanely balsy and hilarious to listen to as he slowly rapes Viacom every day on their own radio stations...fucking beautiful....revenge is best served cold, like slow Japanese water torture. What now Joel?

If the two channels were each filled with 24 hours of material that all equally appealed to the same group, everyone would be shit out of luck, both listeners and broadcasters. People that are hardcore about Howard will focus on The Show, Shuli & Boots, Howard replays, and who knows what else that's coming.

Based on his success down south, Bubba has his following. He can help pull the Ignant Redneck Demo that might just kinda like Howard. :D
