The whole thing does... I'm not saying it is at all, but the coloring looks odd in there - doesn't look like natural lighting and the angles of things look off. I'm guessing it's just the camera, though... but it has a damn nice "depth of field," so it must be some new fangled digital camera? Who knows/cares... :dontknow:

They were there tho... it WAS funny when the all swarmed to hipitch to get on cam, but for all the wrong reasons... more like "laughing at" than "laughing with."

And the only reason that thing looks photoshopped isnt because i'm in denial of them being there, just cuz it looks so weird with the angles of people. Plus, generally SOMETHING will be out of focus, so if Howard was in front like that then the background will usually be blurred more, but it's not. Still... I'm pretty sure it's not photoshopped, and is just funny looking.

Or maybe it's touched or some shit to brighten up the signs?

No biggie. When rival DJ's held events in the past, Howard's Fans used to crash, with signs. Anyone remember the signs at DeBella's music event? The difference was that hundreds to thousands of Howard's fans showed up--not a handful like these little O&A pissants.

Howard had some legitimate beefs, though... those guys would talk shit on him. Difference is, O&A have no real agenda other than wanting Howard to finally acknowledge them so they can ride his coattails in some big "war" that nobody is aware of except for their fans.

Like I said before, I don't get this whole radio host allegiance thing. O&A do their thing and whatever but I would never crash and event on them.

The couple shows I heard on XM had 2 things 1)bitching about the terrible guests 2) them gloating about the pests and encouraging more. Its a bizarre phenomenon: like a bunch of dudes on the radio talking about dudes being "pests" and promoting them - but all they're promoting is guys talking about them doing pest promotions. Not much else seemed to be going on. They also complained briefly about not even being on the front page of the xm website. Unreal.
Whoever copies what or when doesn't matter to me. I've been listening to Howard forever and just bought Sirius last night. It is clear that Howard started this style of radio and should be given respect for that alone. I've been listening and loving the show since Channel 9.

I think their whole rap is that Howard is too old and beyond his prime, so we're not allowed to like him anymore. This is actually a complimentary rap, which their fans repeat verbatim "Howard was great a long time ago, but he's an old man now... we got these hip middle aged dudes to replace him!"

So, apparently they base talent on age. Anyone over 50 is not allowed to be enjoyed anymore... Guess O&A only got a few years left. That, and, well they gotta get to their "glory days" first before they can go downhill, so maybe that's their little loophole to try and stay around, in mediocrity, for infinity and beyond. Because, hey, as long as if you're a "never was" you can never be a "has been!"

They're still striving to be as popular as this "has been" version of Howard. If they can't beat such a has been who is way beyond his prime, then what's that say about them?

In August 2002, O&A were "fired" for the "Sex For Sam 3" stunt. Sex for Sam was a yearly contest O&A held in which the goal was to have sex in the most surprising places. Couples from various states would be chosen to compete in the competition and each couple would be followed by a comedian, who would call-in to the program to report the location. The contest was approved by the station and had been held without a major problem for the first two years. However, one comedian made the decision to lead his couple to have sex in a vestibule in St. Patrick's Cathedral.

Contrary to most media reports, Opie and Anthony did not broadcast the couple, or any couple, having sex in any location, much less St. Pat's. The incident was only mentioned as taking place by Paul Mercurio, the comedian watching the couple. When a security guard approached the comedian and told him that he and the couple must leave immediately, the comedian then began to mouth off to the security guard to the point where he called the police. It is believed by those familiar with these actions that the incident was severely worsened by the behavior of the comedian. The authorities were then called and the couple was arrested, but not before the comedian continued to make comments that some fans interpreted as provoking an arrest.

When the media ran with the story and word spread of the incident of Sex in St. Pat's, the Catholic League took offense and demanded that Opie and Anthony be fired. O&A broadcasted for another day, but were not permitted to refer to the incident for legal reasons. Infinity Broadcasting then promptly cancelled the Opie and Anthony Show.

The person who is annoying is Opie, but he works well with Anthony. Haven't listened to them on XM, but I loved them on WNYW in NY. Their comedians kicked ass. I have no idea how they are. I wish they were both on the same satellite radio, but with a tough choice I chose Howard and Sirius.

I listened to the streamer of O&A on streamerp2p to see what they'd say about Howard. Didn't have to wait more than 10 seconds (thank god, cuz I was falling asleep) before they mentioned Howard.

What I found the funniest was that they knew Angry Black worked for Verizon... I didn't even know that Angry Black worked for Verizon and I'm a huge fucking fan, so if that doesnt speak volumes of how much they revolve around the show, then I don't know what does.

Their whole rap (which I posted earlier) too was that Howard was too old, and he used to be great, but now he doesnt have as many fans (like they have so many), so I guess that makes him a dirtbag. And he was so "mean" to them behind the scenes (I've heard that story already, it's such a non-thing) and that if he'd acknowledge them, well, then they'll suddenly be #1 in the world.

It's so obvious that these are two superfans mad that they can't be howard, so they'll get his attention not by being good, but by starting a war that only they know about. So far their shit isn't working because Howard is so fucking beyond them, it's laughable.

The greatest way that this war is "won" is by ignoring them. And the best part is, it's SO EASY to ignore them because the only people who even know who they are SFNers due to the trolls.. In fact, if I didn't post at SFN I wouldn't even know they crashed letterman because I thought all the O&A chanting was Howard chanting and when they rushed the cameras, I thought they were just Stern fans. And you know what? In some way, they pretty much ARE stern fans.... Mission failed.

As a Stern fan, none of this sounds odd at all. When has Howard ever been nice or respectful to another DJ, let alone a bunch of clones. Howard used to yell about a guy on KROCK that was badmouthing him. Howard said that if that guy doesn't shut his fuckin mouth, Howard is quitting.

Howard isn't a "nice" guy to the competition. They should be kissing Howard's ass for giving them 20 years of material to steal and make a living off of.

Howard is fucking hilarious still. He may not be doing as many crazy stunts, but his low-key stuff is still great. Take Howard out of the equation and you are left with a crap show... he keeps the thing running. And yes, he himself delivers a ton of great lines. Just the other day that shit with Eric the Midget had me rolling in tears for a long ass time. I get more laughs out of each show (and mostly from Howard) than I would from some of the greatest comedy movies.

I've listened to both shows. I prefer Howard. Now what's your fucking problem with that? Your "virus" spreading doesn't do shit... if O&A focused on BEING ENTERTAINING maybe I'd give em a longer listen, but they don't... they just bitch and moan about why they suck so much.

Do you go after people who don't like your favorite cereal? Do you go after people who think your mom isn't "the best mom in the world"? Because that's the only motivation here. He has barely mentioned them, but not in a gracious way. Frankly, they shot themselves when doing the St. Pat's stunt, and Howard doesn't care for Stern clones who commit, let alone accessories to, a misdemeanor.

it's like what they say about copies not being quite as sharp as the original. the st. pat's day thing was just plain stupid. howard is a pro - which is why he knows how to be outrageous and compelling without getting sued or breaking the (non-obscenity) law.

as for o&a, he has nothing to gain by mentioning them and he probably doesn't even make a conscious effort to avoid it - they are just not relevant. and there is no feud... you need two sides to have a feud. howard (and most of the rest of us) doesn't really care enough about them to be in a feud with them.

i take it as a compliment to howard that they try so hard to get his attention....

I've listened to O&A twice. Both times I was bored, and both times they played audio clips that were being used on the Stern show all the time.

XM originally offered their show as a subscription service. But they eventually had to end that because so few people signed up for it. I know they've tried to talk their way out of this stupendous failure, but the situation is what it is.

O&A have been on Satellite for over a year now, and their channel has only themselves replaying through out the day, and now Ron and Fez who are undoubtedly unlistenable.

Howard isn't even ON SIRIUS YET and we have shows on the air that REQUIRE us to tune in. The News, Tissue Time, Stern Fan RoundTable, etc.

O&A only copy Howard. To the point that they simply took Their version of Howard Show and put it on XM.

Once Again STERN has shown his TRUE GENIUS. He has a more compelling and interesting channel than his wannabe clones have, and HE ISN"T EVEN ON THE AIR YET. Just imagine what the channels will be like once he is there in January.

I bet O&A will starting copying Howards programming yet again now that he has shown them how to run a Satellite channel.

They do have a point and its something thats always bugged me. Howard Always says he invented everything. Ill give him shock radio and they there are alot of shows that stole right off of him, like that Am i hot show and the game show where they ask people on the street questions. But whenever something new or funny comes along he will do this six degrees of separation link that show or movie to himself and how it was stolen from him.

Im pretty sure he once said Mtv Unplugged was his idea and not one radio show had live music before he came along. I think he just gets a big head sometimes.

If you can't hear Howard in everything they do, then you are not a Stern historian. This bit with the lobster chick has Stern written all over it. They even confess to Billy West to being Stern fans for many years. And Howard doesn't even talk about them. I think he mentioned them by name once. And that was just to say "if you break the law, you should be fired." That is it!!! It is the wannabees that have this obsession with Stern, cuz they want to try to steal his audience. And they will lie, cheat and steal to try to accomplish it. It is really pathetic. Cuz the time has run out on them. They are too old to capture the crown and make a huge name for themselves.
