starting to watch some more old E! shows... i have to admit that i was never into them before, but they keep my attention now that i'm seeing actual snatch and bababoobies.....

just watched the naked daredevil one...its so much more funny to see some chicks dumpy ass and floppy tits flailing around while mcgriddles are being hurled at her....

with my sirius and this new on demand.... i can now enjoy my life in the midwest without having to harm any innocent barn yard animals colons.

I think they explained it as "in demand" is the company that owns howard "on demand" so it is indeed the same thing, and you should be badgering your cable co.

As for in-demand, I have already watched about half of whats available, and while it's great, It seems like it is 90 percent chicks. I'd like to see more goofing around and favorite guests. That said, I give the service my highest recommendation and will be sticking with it.

On a side note, I never noticed how many times Goodstein comes in with some sort of food or crazy shit to throw at or spray women .

So, I ordered the monthly subscription to Howard Stern On Demand and I have to say that I was disappointed. I was expecting tons of content and all kinds of new, behind the scenes footage. I'm fairly certain that was what was promised on air. I can't tell you how let down I was when I saw that the only thing available was 16 programs, each of which were basically just old E! Shows without the pixels.

Believe me, I LOVED seeing the naked chicks. Seeing Erica the gymnast naked, in particular, was a real treat. But, each of the shows were basically 30 minutes long, and I knocked out the entire roster of programs in one evening. On top of that, they were all shows that I had seen before on the E! network. That sucks. Where is all of the ORIGINAL content?

Gary put in about 5 minutes of work for the wrap around on his "I Want You Back" tape. Sadly, watching Gary flap those big lips and drop a few F bombs was the coolest thing that you have available on your entire network! What the hell is going on?

Is this Scott DePace's fault? What the hell has he been doing for the past 5 months? Apperntly jack shit. I could've taken the pixels off of a combined 10 minutes of E! footage in 2 hours of my spare time from my home PC! Your former E! crew is doing some serious slacking. You might want to consider hiring a new crew, or at least someone who's motivated.

To add insult to injury, there are three shows available ONLY if you buy them seperately. They aren't included in my monthly subscription! And those three shows are Valentia Vaughn, Jenna Jameson, and four Penthouse Pets! So, basically the best possible shows to see without the pixels are only available if I purchase them IN ADDITION to my monthly subscription. That type of thing feels like a scam, and I really hate getting screwed over and ripped off.

Maybe I just have to be patient, and EVENTUALLY there'll be some more content available (probably around April when the monthly fee increases by 5 bucks). Until then, I have the give Howard Stern On Demand subscription a grade of "D". This grade is due to lack of content, and basically nothing original. The On Demand show has a lot of potential, but it really has a long, LONG way to go.

Bitter about being misled,

Mike from Minnesota

I'm in Minnesota. I don't get to listen to the show LIVE, ever. I've been talking up the On Demand service to all of my friends up here i nthe nasty north for months. Bragging about all of the kick-ass content and great new features that Howard and his crew have been talking about. I throw a little party for a group of my buddies, to check it out. Things kick off around 6:30pm, and we're out of content around 11:00pm. 8 hours? Not quite. And it's all recycled E! footage? That's pretty damn weak.

The Artie Drunk: Vegas is great. Too bad it wasn't on for the launch.

I LOVE the concept, but the execution of the launch was very sub par. I was expecting something great, and I got something below average.

Again, theres maybe 10 or 15 minutes of footage that was un-pixelated. That's weak ass hell. And maybe 5 minutes of original footage. That sucks. THe content available at the launch represents maybe 2 hours of work for the old E! crew.

Nope. I get "Buy" prompts when I try to access them. After that, I get prder confirmation prompts. I called Comcast and was told that they would be additional charges. They're listed under "Specials & Events" on my On Demand guide, and they don't show up in the Howard Stern section. Again, those are shows that I would definitely want to check out, but not IN ADDITION to my subscription service. Maybe they'll put those on in a week or so.

not sure what your bitching at.... this was a fairly silent launch and it's only going to get better. i'm the first one to say there are sometimes too many naked girls on...but like i said before...seeing some clam on the tv (rather than on my computer screen) is much better and keeps me watching.

once they post the daily sirius shows (with maybe a day lag time from the original air date) its going to be even better.

super twink? that shit is going to be great. he can put anything he wants up there, and i'm sure that when he does a big 'launch' for it that he will put more up.

i know for the $9.99 i spent (which is the equivalent to a couple missed fast food meals) i have got more entertainment and laughs out of my tv than i have normally spending 40+ bucks for programming that is 90% shitty.

i have to also question whether this guy is complaining about the amount of content on howards sirius channel. again, once that thing is in full swing, its going to be hard to get anything done.

in my opinon, if something can keep you in front of a radio and/or tv for any set time, it has done its job (whether you leave angry or not)

like i said up there....here is how i can justify spending 9.99 a month on it.

i spend 40 bucks a month for regular cable programming. here is a list of what i watch for that 40 bucks:

1. breaking bonaduce
2. lost (though i've about given up on that show)
3. wwe wrestling (fuck you, it's real)
4. south park
5. football

so those 5 weekly shows that total about 6 hours of entertainment (less once you take those annoying fucking commercials out).

howards on demand channel is going to have 50 hours of shit on there a month, that you can watch at any time.

plus any shit that happens on the show is able to be put up immediately.

I just got it also and I love watching the shows, but I wish they would put the new shows up. There has to be alot of newer E! shows that we haven't seen which were taped right before they went off the air.

All in all I love the service, it seems so odd being able to see everything. So far I watched
1. the Ms Howard Stern
2. the girl who thought her "real" breasts were the best
3. some married porn chick who got spanked (she wasn't that hot though).
*not that it would be something I want to look at, but did you notice on the Ms Howard Sten episode, when she goes to change in Howard's bathroom, they still have the naked Benji poster pixelated in his private area

Being able to see all the sten guys touch or spank these girls makes you wonder how their wives/gf don't get that upset

I was thinking the same thing during the Win Fred's Money with Steve & Shayna, and the Jenna Jameson massage. Too bad they probably never knew to zoom in a little, since these shows were pretty much just filmed for E! Any zooming for E! and the whole screen would be pixelated.

I still like Howard's DVD analogy best... DVDs are like $15-$25 these days for a couple hours of movie and some lame extras... for $10 you get a ton more hours of entertainment than you could from 1 dvd that you're never gonna watch more than once anyway.

For the most part it is E shows, save the one channel that has Gary's apology tape, Artie drunk in Vegas (simply b/c they couldn't show the tape on E what with Artie continually screaming fag and you like to fuck big black pussy), Rich and Sal bothering Ronnie in the Hallway and the "full" version of Benjy's schtick coma at the scream out against violence thing.

The way the service works is that new content is added every few days from what I've been told and as explained on the indemand.com website. So if you are not seeing something that others are seeing in different cities, the reason is becuase the different cable operators have control of the channel once its supplied to them by in demand.

With that said, it may take a few hours or a day for everyone to see the same content.

The indemand.com website has the whole list that will eventually appear on the channel by the end of the month.

Did you guys see the awesome 'howard microsite" located within the in demand website? It's awesome!!!

That's very strange, because I have Comcast Sacramento and at least 80% of the episodes were up as of Thursday, and I notice a few more have been added each day. Everything doesn't appear instantly, that list is the programming that will rotate in over the first month. I saw the Gary Tapes up there the other day under Best of the Week, but I don't see it now, and Artie In Vegas appeared. They may have fucked up some of the expiration dates on some of the episodes, because some say they time out in November and some not until January.

The three episodes in Events ARE available in the Howard section, they are just slightly differently titled. The three are Jenna's Massage, Valentina Vaughn and Fantastic Four (which is called Penthouse Girls 1 & 2 under Howard). All are under the Howard monthly section. Your right, those ones are just titled differently. My mistake. Just curious though, do you have Daily Show #1, as well as Daily Shows #13-17? Or Erica the Gymnast Part 2? Or Perfect Rita Part 2? Or Daredevil Part 2? Or The Bathroom Incident & Sal? Or Beetlejuice Makes Out with Girls? Or Debbie Gibson? Or Kid Rock? Or Stump The Booey w/ Jessie and Amber? Or Best of the Week 05? Because I dont have any of them.

SteelRat
11-21-2005, 12:12 AM
No, I don't see any of those you mention now. I know for sure that Debbie Gibson and Kid Rock were up a couple days ago, and I think also Beetlejuice. I guess those also expired like the Gary Tapes. Best of the Week 5, sounds like they haven't even put something into that slot yet - the category is designed for five but they've come up with four so far.

The Daily Shows are supposed to rotate in and out, so I don't think anyone has the later ones yet. When I first looked they had through Episodes 8 or 9 and they've slowly added up the 12. Those slots are intended for the Sirius shows once they start to rotate in and out, so even though these are old they seem to follow the same mechanism. I'm not sure why we don't have Episode 1, it probably had an early expiration date.

In all, I count 41 episodes available right now which is plenty to watch for $10 I think. I'm sure they're working out the glitches now. If we don't get them all over the next few weeks, or if the ones that disappeared early don't rotate back, then I think we should contact Comcast and/or InDemand.

ALL three of those programs would've cost me extra money if I had ordered them from that menu. I confirmed this TWICE with Comcast. I stand by my original grade and review. Fuck you all.

And that's it.

So, when I go out to the In Demand website and see all the shows that I SHOULD be getting, but don't have access to, maybe you can understand why I'm still a little ticked off.

After looking into this, I found out that it's up the regional distributor to decided what and when get's loaded. I personally feel that's bullshit, and doesn't make any sense. On top of that, the order that some of the shows have been released is all messed up. At any rate, I left a voice mail and e-mail for the guy that (reportedly) makes these kinds of decisions. Maybe something will be doen about it. Having a staggered roll-out sucks ass, especially if there are available items that can only be accessed via an extra charge.

If you get to see all of the shows (AND hear the radio show) where you are, well good for you. You should feel very superior. Here in Minnesota, where Stern's show got pulled after 9 months about 10 years ago, we don't even get to be a part of anything show related. I have to download shows off the internet! And when I hear that the On Demand service is going to have 50+ hours of programming, I damn well expect to see 50+ hours of programming. That's not what I got on Friday, and not what I have RIGHT NOW.

Apperently the blame rests with my regional Comcast provider, as my bro from Wisconsin is experiencing the same thing I am. If I want to see the Jenna Jameson episode, I need to fork out more cash. That's bullshit.

I absolutely LOVE the On Demand concept, but leaving the content up to the regional providers is a horrible idea.

And you can all go to hell for doubting me. No wonder Howard pulled the bulletin board down...

I was thinking about how to reply to you, but I'm just going to say, "Fuck You douche bag", and leave it at that.

Here is a full list of what I had on Friday, the day of the launch:

DAILY SHOWS
Daily Show 08: Evaluators w/ Saundra
Daily Show 09: Kim Stewart, Rod's Daughter
Daily Show 11: Girls
Daily Show 12: Playmate Buffy Tyler

GET NAKED!
Kira Reed and Taimie
Miss Howard Stern's New Body
Savanna Gets Naked

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS
Erica 1: Erica The Gymnast Pt. 1
Erica 2: Erica The Gymnast Pt. 2

SEXY FUN AND GAMES
Hi Lo Game With Reynaldo And Heather Pt. 2

BEST OF THE WEEK
Gary's 'I Want You Back' Tape

JUST OUTRAGEOUS
Daredevil Pt. 2
Richard Meets Foo Fighters

WACKY AND WEIRD
Puppetry

FAVORITE GUESTS
Debbie Gibson & Girl From Street

So, as I said before, 16 shows in 8 categories. Outside of the Howard Stern section, in my "Uncensored TV" section, I had the following shows listed:

Jenna Jameson Massages Girl
Valentina Vaughn - Penthouse Pet
Penthouse Pet Fantastic Four

ALL three of those programs would've cost me extra money if I had ordered them from that menu. I confirmed this TWICE with Comcast. I stand by my original grade and review. Fuck you all.

Around 1:00AM Central time on Saturday night, I received the following show:

Artie: Drunk In Vegas

This is a great show, and seeing it was a real treat. I was expecting to see this on FRIDAY night, and it sucked that the crew of people I had over haven't had a chance to see it. But, it had me rolling on the floor with laughter on Saturday night. The black pussy comment is hysterical, I just love seeing Artie in a wheelchair yelling at door numbers to wake up and calling them fags. Hilarious!

Yesterday, I received the following shows:

DAILY SHOWS
Daily Show 01: Worst Comic Sitting
Daily Show 10: Jose Canseco

GET NAKED!
Painting O'Green With Eric & Girls
Perfect - Rita Pt. 1

GIRLS, GIRLS, GIRLS
Erica 3: Erica The Gymnast Returns

SEXY FUN AND GAMES
Penthouse Pet Fantastic Four Pt. 1
Penthouse Pet Fantastic Four Pt. 2

JUST OUTRAGEOUS
Daredevil Pt. 1
Naked Girls Sick

And that's it.

Sure, it's worth the 10 bucks a month. But, people should be aware that's it's just the old E! shows un-pixelated, plus maybe 10-15 minutes of extras and behind the scenes stuff. You can't go wrong with completely naked Erica the Gymnast, Perfect Gina, and Heather the Hi-Lo Girl. Artie Drunk in Vegas is laugh-out-loud hilarious. And that's about it. It's acceptable, but just barely. If you're not already a Stern Show fan, I could understand not purchasing it.

It's worth 10 bucks a month. I never said it wasn't. And, it's only going to get better. But right now, in my area, it's kind of like buying a new car and then finding out that the engine will be installed "in a few weeks".

Original review of the content available IN MY AREA, is still a C-.

Deal with it, fan boy.

Stern and his crew had plenty of time to make sure that all of the content was available for everyone that subscribed. The fact that it still isn't, is total bullshit. They got lazy and left the roll-out in the hands of regional distributors, and they need to be criticized for it.

What the FUCK are you talking about??? Howard and his crew have nothing to do with how the cable company and iNDEMAND handled this. They just make the shows, and they made them just fine. Don't blame Howard because of how the people by you decided to release content. Fucking moron. By me, they decided to give us everything at once. HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz, and all other premium services dictate when ALL of their content is available and when they want it removed. The Stern Channel is setting a horrible precedent by allowing regional managers to do this for them.

These days we hear about how much it sucks that Howard doesn't have his old tapes of his radio show because he didn't negotiate that stipulation early enough. I'd hate to see something like that happen again, but I can easily see that kind of thing going down with this.

They want to post something out on the On Demand, and only 1/4 of the nation has access to it. That's gonna suck.

Are most of these SHOWS 20 minutes like the old E! SHOWS?, or are they the whole interview as was on radio?. . .

SteelRat
11-22-2005, 12:59 AM
In general, most of the episodes are at least 30 minutes. Some are as much as 50+, but those were probably two E episodes originally. So just going by the time, there is clearly added footage but I don't know that they are necessarily every minute of the original segment.

There are also some shorter ones, like a single Stump the Booey game that are only about 15 minutes. One of the strengths of using On Demand tech is that a clip can be whatever length works, and no need to compress or pad it to fit 22 minutes.

be patient dude - it's just the initial offering. they will truly go balls out with content in a few months. they said on the show (which you probably didn't hear) that they would be putting up older shows at first. that sucks if you have some regional issues - send an email to the show. they might not know about it.

Hi-Lo Heather is absolutely fantastic. Unedited, unpixelated, naked glory. That chick is perfection, plus she has an awesome attitude towards getting naked and playing the game with the crew. Howard is funny and worked up by her.

The way he says, "Get ready to get tickled!", always makes me crack up. A threat, a celebration, and unbridled excitement.

Both were great. Sal puking as the cup of cabbie doodie is waived unders his nose is funny as shit.

Beet lying back on the couch after making out with these chicks while they put their boobs in his face and stroked his package was hysterical.

I'm getting a few new shows added each day. Haven't checked today's line-up yet.

It's kind of a Catch-22, because if they didn't put up a significant amount of clips with nudity up to start off, people would complain that there was no point in getting an "uncensored" service filled with stuff that wasn't censored in the first place.
