Since DOGSHITFUCKDirecTV isn't able to offer it, I'm seriously considering switching back to cable. HDTV looks like chickenshit on DirecTV -- on my HDTV set DirecTV looks worse than Internet video!

I know that TimeWarner will suck, too, but at least I ought to be able to get the playoffs in HDTV. Fuck DirecTV anyway.

They say that the Sirius show will be. The current material is all from the E! archives, which of course wasn't filmed in HD.

I love the service. The early offerings are a bit heavy on the hot chick variety of shows, but it sounds like Howard is pushing Doug to put together a lot more behind the scenes type stuff and documentary footage like Howard's press events. Any fan of the show should be able to get their $10-14 or entertainment in the first three of four clips they watch, alone.

I don't get why satellite subscribers always seem to have a superiority complex about it. Satellite sucks. I've stuck with my digital cable, because every time I check out satellite at a friend's house, I fucking hate it. It takes forever to scroll forward just one time slot on the guide, where I can scroll forward 48 hours in a few seconds on my cable. The show descriptions are slow to appear and often aren't there at all, while it's always there immediately on cable. The volume varies ridiculously from channel-to-channel. The picture does not seem one bit better to me, and is more prone to signal interference.

Most importantly, satellite doesn't have On Demand tech. Even before Howard's channel, I got hooked on VOD with the premium channels, especially the HBO and Showtime series which have the whole season and usually past seasons and additional behind the scene stuff at your disposal.

The only advantage I've found to satellite is that it would be a bit cheaper for my same package of programming, but I'm willing to pay for the entertainment I want, and I'd pick my digital cable every time. [/end rant]

Vegas is also behind missing WWF, Gay and Anime On-Demand because a bunch of other Cox markets have had it almost a year now....

don't have OnDemand (i have DirecTV and love it).

I did contact my local cable company (Charter)though, and asked if they planned on carrying HOWARD, in hopes of buying a cheap digital box on ebay, and subscribing to Charter's lowest possible tier+Howard On Demand (that way i can keep my DirecTV and not be raped by Charter again, but still be able to watch the show...) . A Charter CSR got back to me and said "we have no plans to offer Howard Stern at this time"

Looks like Howard is only in markets with Time Warner, Cox, and Comcast-which leaves alot of people who don't live in big cities (like me) outta luck...

The OnDemand rules, I got my money's worth the first day. They are still tweaking it for the better. I don't have any probs with it, but TW in San diego seems to be a day or two behind with the new material - which is usually fine because I am a week or two behind. I was dying to see Artie's Drunk in Vegas again though..
