Its out of stock everywhere. Is it available online? I couldnt find it at the Sirius sight. I had trouble finding one when I bought my Starmate, too. I special ordered one at Circuit City and fortunately they came in the next day... But until then you can just use the car antenna and a 12V AC adaptor from Radio Shack. Just make sure you get the right sized one. TIJUANA1 01-08-2006, 03:23 PM I had trouble finding one when I bought my Starmate, too. The Xact XTR8 kit comes with ANTENNA, ac adapter, and stereo cables fot he same price. bearbear 01-08-2006, 03:30 PM Everyone has known for months that Howard was going to SIRIUS. True fans had this shit sent up for months now. MOTORCITYMADMAN 01-08-2006, 03:33 PM How about for an S50? Or do they all interface the same way? Thanks for your help! BillyB 01-08-2006, 03:37 PM I was about to do this but the antenna itself is 40 dollars. The Xact XTR8 kit comes with ANTENNA, ac adapter, and stereo cables fot he same price. Doesn't the Xact model come with the car kit for free like the Starmate does? If so you only need to buy an ac adapter and just use the car antenna. Trojanruins 01-08-2006, 03:37 PM Everyone has known for months that Howard was going to SIRIUS. True fans had this shit sent up for months now. True. I've had my Sportster Boombox & a lifetime subscription since May 29th. Fans should've waited till the last fuckin' minute. They're just askin' for trouble. TIJUANA1 01-08-2006, 03:40 PM You only need to buy an ac adapter. No need to buy another antenna. I just used the car antenna that comes with the Starmate. Yeah. I just wanted to leave my car kit intact and have one for my home/office. macheson 01-08-2006, 03:59 PM I just got a Starmate Replay. Live in Canada so had to go to Detroit to get the US receiver. Love it so far. They dont have the starmate replay here yet, so they dont sell the home kit for the replay. trim spa baby 01-08-2006, 04:03 PM I got mine from Circut City. They didn't have it out in the store but they had it in the back. Check out their website and once you find it select store pick-up. It will tell you if it's there. eBay is good too. MoEl 01-08-2006, 04:04 PM Fans should've waited till the last fuckin' minute. They're just askin' for trouble. Hey, take it easy on him. He still has 12.5 hr left! Plenty of time. Dick Tater 01-08-2006, 04:07 PM i think online is the only place bro. i had to call everywhere just to find out all the stores are sold out here. most of the time they dont even have sirius in stock let alone the home kit. Dick Tater 01-08-2006, 04:08 PM . Jellyfishlips 01-08-2006, 04:37 PM I bought a home kit on Friday morning at a Best Buy in Pa. I heard they had just gotten a big order in the day before. My car kit was installed early last week at World Wide Stereo where they told me that the home kit I ordered was back ordered until God-knows-when. That's when I started calling around. It seems that before Christmas the manufacturer got a huge order from somewhere (Best Buy? Walmart? Costco?) and pretty much sold everyone else down the drain to fill it. There's lots of pissed off people around. I say they should have expected the surge in sales during the holidays. It's not like they didn't know it was coming. mlevi98 01-08-2006, 04:43 PM got mine last week from http://www.jjielectronics.com/ Timmy 01-08-2006, 04:43 PM Everyone has known for months that Howard was going to SIRIUS. True fans had this shit sent up for months now. 'scuse me for thinking that Sirius would have their shit together and actually have hardwear available. Those fucking Sportster kits are all over the place. They DO want people to join up riiiiiight? I say they should have expected the surge in sales during the holidays. It's not like they didn't know it was coming. and it's not like Howard's fans didn't know the move was coming. anyone bitching about not being ready for tomorrow have no one to blame but themselves and should spare us their whining. artiefan711 01-08-2006, 04:48 PM anyone with a starmate or starmate replay doesnt need the "homekit" you can peice one together at radio shack with 3 items, and at a cost less than the actual homekit.....just get the audio cable (RCA red/white on one end, headphone jack on other end) an AC adapter (radio shack sells universal AC adapters for any type of device) and a stand alone satillite radio antenna. AND I need a new antenna for my car. I've had the car kit for 2 months, but I've had to swap it in and out of cars all that time because I have 2 cars I have to use alternatingly. Last night, checking all my connections for my AM listening (I have a stereo 10 feet away from the car in my dining room window, so leave the radio on in the car can hear great on the stereo), and get NO ANTENNA FOUND. I see that the antenna wire, right near the jack, has broken. Argh! Good thing some electrical tape proved to be a good temporary fix, but wont hold for long... Best Buy in North Charleston just got in a shipment of Starmate Replays and some accesories. Also, I know the Circuit City here has a few left as well... but very few. So if you don't have one, try Best Buy or Circuit City in North Charleston. Hope this helps someone. |
