You forgot about the Celtics and their 16 world championships jlohlinger 01-09-2006, 03:37 PM You forgot about the Celtics and their 16 world championships Yeah, 20 years and counting since their last. LarryHorseFucker 01-09-2006, 04:26 PM The best sports town is Chicago hands down.:stretch: swepeea9 01-09-2006, 05:20 PM Best sports town...Topeka Kansas! evrc1ear99 01-09-2006, 07:11 PM You're all sadly mistaken... Black & Gold of Pittsburgh is the best sports city... And LarryHorse...it is the birthplace of the one and only...Ditka. His house in Aliquippa should be your Holy Grail. fyodor2 01-09-2006, 08:38 PM I won't argue with that... They both 'look' like big tough coaches but are way over-rated... Motivators without brain power. The great Bears teams of the 80's were Buddy Ryan's team not fuckface's. As I've said in the other thread... Pittsburgh will never win it all as long as Cowher is coaching. They'll make the playoffs because of talent, but when it comes down to discipline and preparation... Cowher is not even a mediocre coach. :sadbye: swepeea9 01-10-2006, 05:19 PM What do Ditka and Cowher have in common? They both 'look' like big tough coaches but are way over-rated... I find it interesting that your so called "Genius" coach Belichick has a stellar lifetime head coach record of 41-55 before having Tom Brady as his starting QB. So maybe Cowher's playoff losses had a little more to do with the key players on the field at that time...hmmmmm? brents 01-10-2006, 07:12 PM Not after Denver stuts out the Patsies, and holds teh NE passing game to under 100 yards. LarryHorseFucker 01-10-2006, 07:35 PM The great Bears teams of the 80's were Buddy Ryan's team not fuckface's. He really sucks. Luck would have it that the Steelers have been led by greats such as O'Donnell, Tomczak, Stewart, Maddox, and Roethlisberger (as a rookie), during the Cowher years. Further proving points I have made in other posts to other Bean Boys. And one last thing...there is no "excusing" your spelling. metrowestdude 01-11-2006, 12:11 AM If I saw you in person I would punch you in the sack. yeah, that one always seems to get you Bears fans :bl: Now, don't get all worked up over it. ;) http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d126/metrowestdude/Horse.jpg metrowestdude 01-11-2006, 01:03 AM Even though I posted this in another thread, I thought I would enlighten the folks in this one as well... So maybe Cowher's playoff losses had a little more to do with the key players on the field at that time...hmmmmm? No doubt Brady is one of the best QB's ever, but the customized preparation each week, for each team, and each game - is all Belichick and staff. I won't even go into the injury situation the last couple years. Sure it takes more than a competent coach, QB, and overall 'good' team to put a championship together. That's why Pittsburgh hasn't done it for years and won't again this year unless their streak of luck (ie. opponent injuries) continues... which it won't. They had in the past and still have major weaknesses... I can't wait to see Cowher's scheme this weekend for Indy. :rolleye2: swepeea9 01-11-2006, 01:58 AM but the customized preparation each week, for each team, and each game - is all Belichick and staff. Did he just remember how to coach after going 41-55? And if you want to keep talking about coaching...maybe "Staff" does have alot to do with it. I am done with you. Your last post wasn't even worth a response by me, but I threw you a sympathy retort. Enjoy losing to Denver, then having to watch the Celtics. BUCOM09 01-11-2006, 01:59 AM Of course Boston is the best sports town. Not only do the professional teams have long detailed histories with terrific fan bases, but so do the colleges. BU, BC, NU, and Harvard are all within 5 miles of each other. We take our college sports just as serious as professional. jetersucksarod 01-11-2006, 09:19 AM Bledsoe may have a butt load of yards but any coach with half a brain knows that if you blitz him up the middle he makes bone head play after bone head play. I watched this every week for years it's amazing that it took the NFC ten weeks to figure this out metrowestdude 01-11-2006, 02:32 PM Did he just remember how to coach after going 41-55? Belichick has all the tools now - and of course coaches can get better with experience. duh. Whatever the reason, the bottom line is that New England is superior and the Steelers choke whether it's coach or QB's fault... The trend continues this weekend my omniscient fiend: Colts 38 Steelers 14 Patriots 27 Broncos 17 jlohlinger 01-11-2006, 02:40 PM Steelers still have more Superbowl wins regardless. After the Pawtucket Peckerheads choke on Saturday the Steelers will go two up on them come XXL. You can say what you want about the Colts "vast superiority" but if there's one thing the Dungy family knows how to do better than anyone else, it's choke. jetersucksarod 01-11-2006, 02:42 PM how can anyone compare Cowher to Belicheck? The moron didn't even have a silent count in place the last time they played the colts jlohlinger 01-11-2006, 03:24 PM how can anyone compare Cowher to Belicheck? The moron didn't even have a silent count in place the last time they played the colts Well they wouldn't have needed the silent count if the assholes wouldn't have been filtering the crowd noise through the P.A. system. We'll see what happens this time. jetersucksarod 01-11-2006, 07:30 PM WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH The Colts pumped in extra crowd noise WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH That’s why Belicheck and the Pats always use a silent count on the road. Good coaches think of that sort of thing. zaleskb1 01-11-2006, 07:44 PM Philly is the greatest! With out A doubt Boston is the most dedicated, loyal, and best sports town. We are a huge baseball town. It is January and we are talking baseball. Red sox are #1 around here but the patriots, celtics and bruins(yes bruins) have A more loyal diehard fanbase than any city out there. All I have to say is igf we get by Denver this week were going to the super bowl. TISSUE TIME 01-11-2006, 10:17 PM GO PATS Hendry 01-13-2006, 04:36 PM Most New York fans are fickle sonsabitches. ... And I'm sure every single person walking around Boston with a Sox hat on after they won the WS was a die-hard. Condolences, first of all, now... 1. Bellhorn deserved the booing before and after the WS. He was bad for the team. 2. I personally wasn't wearing any Red Sox hat. In fact, all that Yankee's Suck shit is lame and the Yanks organization has put the Red Sox to shame up until a few years ago. I haven't been a fan of the Red Sox since 86, but it was nice to see them win it in my lifetime so I could care less about them now. 3. Sinden has ruined the Boston Bruins as well. I hope he dies soon - he influences the team negatively by just breathing. 4. Haven't been to the Sam Horn site so can't comment. 5. Any team that wins is going to have fair weather fans no matter what city it is. My comments were mainly toward the people bitching/hating the Giants after the blowout. Example: When Buddy Ryan's Bears blew The Pats out in the Super Bowl no one was going around saying how much the Patriots sucked after the game. PATRIOTS!!! soxfan1183 01-13-2006, 08:06 PM Pats should win.
