Love the show so far. I plan on sticking it. The show is different from Howards, so he gets some good points because of that.

Jim Bruer is funny in small bits, like when he appears on Howards show and does the news. I just cant listen to him doing that laugh for however long his show runs for.

I look at it this way , I've never heard DLR or Bubba on the radio and I turned Roth off after about 3 minutes and I'm still listening to Bubba...

The Ned call they played on Howard's show this morning interviewing DLR is hilarious. If they have more of that in the future it won't be bad.

The bottom line is that he'll never be Howard, and shouldn't be crucifed for it. Howard is trying to get programming on TWO stations. That's not an easy thing to do....plus they want someone for afternoon/evening drive time. The nonstop rehashed news stories on Howard 100/101 are mind numbing anyway. They needed to program SOMETHING and Howard's choice was Bubba. Time will tell if it works out...

As a sports fan, I like that he mixes in a little more "sports chatter", but he needs to stick to football vs. Nascar.

Being off the air for 2 years and having to follow Howard... I give the guy credit for even trying. I am not gonna judge his show after 2 hours, if Howard signs him up, there has gotta be something there. The fact that he is different from Howard is why i will listen, and if Howard likes him, i am not gonna dump on him after 2 hours like everyone does to DLR (have not heard DLR so i have no opinion on him).

Bubba sucks.....I remember when he hosted a radio station here in Los Angeles way back around '89 called Pirate Radio.

I was really suprised when Howard announced he was joining him on Sirius. I was hoping that maybe Bubba developed some talent but he sucks.

I am going to give him a try. Its better than anything FM has to offer, and since I bought Sirius for Howard than this free filler is better than the news over and over all day.

If Howard has enough faith in him to put him on Howard 100 ahead of lots of other people I will give him a shot and listen and hope it gets better. Its only his first show, he has not been on the air in 2 years and I don't know the players or the backstories on all of them yet.

I heard Bubba a few years back. He's gonna be fine on here. I gotta wonder, listening to some of you on here. Is there anyone else that you can think of to fill the channel with? The problems I see are that A: anyone that does this kind of radio is regarded as a rip off, and B: you people are gonna compare whoever Howard puts on here with the Stern show, which isn't fair. We all come to these forums and listen to the show all the time because it's the best, but it only last 4-5 hours, not 24. Give Bubba a chance. He aint gonna be Howard, but he may be a good diversion until the next time we get to hear Howard.

He wasnt funny, he wasnt enteraining. It was a local show that made it national. Howards show has a whole different feel and feels more compelling and listenable.

I have listened to it off and on this week and am kind of digging it... I had never heard of him before but I like it and thought it was really cool on Wed. when he was talking with howard for like 45 min.

Howard and Bubba are alike in a lot of ways, the major difference is their upbringing. Howard grew up in the city and Bubba is a Redneck from a small hick town in Indiana. Give it time, I love his show and have been a fan for years. I am also a fan of Howards, and now that he is on Sirius and uncensored his show is funnier than ever.

I like Bubba, he's different from H and not as good, but who ever could be?

i didnt bother with his show earlier in the week cuz i figured they'd suck due to rustiness, but i've listened last coupla days and he's entertaining. he's a tenser guy than Stern, even from late 80s early 90's Stern...but it's not a put-on u can hear his voice constricting even in casual conversation.

i think he's a good addition to Sterndom, while standing on his own.

I have enjoyed Bubba this week. Never heard him before... does some pretty fucked up shit... even for uncensored stuff. I can see how easily he became a target for the FCC. The cross promotion stuff is pretty cool too.

Bubba has been growing on me. I don't listen to everything he does here, but I'm surpised how often I tune in and stay tuned in. I look forward to what the guy is going to do.

Gotta say, I never heard of Bubba before Clearchannel fired him and dropped Howard and I never heard his act until this week. But, I'm giving him a shot. I've laughed out loud a few times so far and it was cool when Howard called in one night. I don't think bubba was live today (?) sounded like an old show with porn star Terri Weigel. It was good radio. Man did I used to wank it to her in her prime!
