I have an s50 installed in my car and I'm thinking about returning. Main reason is the whole home base issue.

Thinking about picking up one of the cheapies sirius models with and FM transmitter and transmitting it to my MP3 player and just recording like I used to do before sirius.

What units have home capabilities.

I have the Sportster Replay, and frankly, I'm thrilled with it. I've had it since 9/14, and not a day has gone by that I haven't used it. I have the car dock, and the boombox for the house. The car reception is FANTASTIC. The only time I ever lose a signal is at the toll booths (I live in NJ) (your condolences I'm sure).
The house is another issue, and frankly, a frustrating one. I hate the fact that I have to spend a chunk of time everyday moving the antenna around to get a signal after I've been crystal clear for an hour.
If you're gonna make a move, go with the Sportster Replay. You can pause for up to 45 minutes, FFWD, Rewind, and set up alerts for a song, comic (stand up clip), or game. The car kit took me 15 minutes to install by myself too, so that was convenient. In addition, and lastly, I took the Boombox to DR in November on vacation and listened to Covino and Rich from Maxim on the beach.

i gave up on the indoor antenna, put the one that came with the starmate home kit out on the front lawn pointing straight up and i get full strength..go figure
