I'm not trying to rag on anybody here, and as a Howard SuperFan it would be kick-ass to have a job like theirs. But I have to admit, I do wonder if a professional journalist is satisfied in covering ANYTHING all the time, let alone Howard Stern? George Flowers & Ralph Howard sound extremely professional, and at their age do they feel unfulfilled in doing what they do? Penny Crone is a known name in the world of news and now, after her pink slip, she found a job with Howard. Again, I think the news team is a great idea and they do an amazing job, and I'm not trying to start any controversy. However, have you ever wondered if these obviously educated, established, goal-oriented individuals are satisfied in covering craptaculars, upper-deckers, and all things Elliot Offen?

I do realize I probably sound like an idiot, and these folks are having an amazing time and getting a nice paycheck along the way...but the mind does wander & wonder, and I can't help that!! Even with the excessive Ambien-popping.

You have to wonder if it's carrer suicide for a journalist to work for Howard 100 News.

I'll bet when they interview for another job the Howard gig is left off their resume's.

Firstly, most reporters are assigned "beats," meaning they do cover the same thing all the time. So to be Howard-centric shouldn't be a big deal to someone who's been the City Hall guy or the Transit woman, etc.

One thing people don't realize about journalists is, they're generally pretty funny, hardcore people. Want to hear the nastiest jokes? Forget the Aristocrats, hang out with journalists, cops, firemen and emergency room personnel. All those groups deal with crap on a daily basis so they develop gallows humor really quick or snap like a rubber band. I assume most of the H100 news team is loving their job, because they finally get to have fun. They still report - and their stuff on occasion goes nationwide - but it's not dead crack baby stories every day.

Frankly, H100 News is a journalist's dream job.

Man, I have two friends who are full time journalists, one is a writer at a paper and the other is on tv as sort of a field reporter live shot guy... and the BOTH are really unhappy covering boring events and not being able to have fun in their jobs.

I'd imagine the H100 news gig can be a lot of fun for these reporters.

I wonder how long their loyalty to Howard will last. After all, how long can you worship one person until it becomes to much. Until then, I love listening to them!

Ralph Howard and/or George Flowers came out of retirement for this gig! Michelle Jerson previously worked for Sirius before being brought back to work for H100. It sounds like all of the News Team are having a blast with their crazy jobs.

However, I don't know if the 19 or 20 people employed by H100 News are under contract yet. I hope their job security is solidified. I'd hate to lose ANY of them!

It all depend on how much they are getting paid.

If they are getting more than they could get elsewhere than most likely they are very happy.

If they are getting less than market value it will eventually cause animosity.

Is it my imagination or does Howard sound annoyed lately when he discusses his news reporters. He seems to blame them for stealing clips, stories, or exclusives.

I am feel bad for the news dudes. They must feel like if they break something big Howard will be mad.

The pressure!!!!

I would not want to be on the receiving end of Howard's scorn.

I love Howard, but I fear him.

I love him also but would not want to be on his other side.
