There aren't many changes in store for now, but little by little it will become the radio version of SFN where the fans get to talk back about what's happened in the week of Stern.

I thought Mutt did a decent job hosting. I just think the panelists weren't that exciting. King Of All Blacks is only funny when Howard is guiding him. I don't think the chemistry was as good as past roundtables.

It was almost just the Kali & Mutt show... coldandugly pretty much said nothing and the other 2 barely did.

This show needs Ralph.

I think Mutt did a good job moving it along. I just didn't feel any chemistry between the panelists and that made it a little boring.

Mutt was a great host IMHO. I was a big fan of John Hein but Mutt came right in and seemed at home during his first show. He has a good energy and kept things moving. The roundtable is in great hands.

As far as the non-SFN panelists go, Christine was good as usual. She comes off as a true fan and should be a semi regular guest. KOAB was a little weak and seemed tentative to say anything even slightly negative. A little too much like Ralph in that respect.

As far as my fellow SFN members go, the had some good input. coldandugly, when he spoke, was a good panelist. kali was a little of the opposite and kind of annoyed me. Combine the fact that her voice made me cringe a little and the laugh was a little loud, she was not my radio "cup of tea." Don't get me wrong, kali was a good panelist and a great poster here. I would just rather read than hear what she was to say in the future.

Mutt you should have NWSternGirl , Larryhorsefucker and Sirgarycoleman on a.s.a.p.

I read posts more than I reply and they are 3 of the most vocal members of the SFN .

It was really exciting to hear you hosting Mutt. You sounded very comfortable and relaxed, even with the few small technical issues that came up.
Kali did kind of dominate some of the conversation, but not so much that it got annoying.
Her voice sorta reminds of some of the "Earth Mother" types that you would find at a Folk Festival.
Overall, it was a great first show with our man Mutt at the helm.

I feel for you on the Fridays' certificates. My family and I ate at the Fridays in Times Square over the Holidays and paid $70 dollars for 2 kids meal burgers (the waiter was nice enough to give my wife a kids meal), a kids pizza, and a regular burger for myself, not to mention $9 for a 16 oz draft Bud.

We were up on the 4th floor, stuck in the back next to a cracked mirror and a lovely view of a lighted sign next to a fire escape outside the window. The service was slow and my well done burger was raw. At least my beer was cold.

The guy next to us was really getting pissed. He sent his burger back twice while his wife ate her dinner. When we left, he was still stewing and waiting for his burger.

I didn't get pissed. I just sipped my beer and smiled. Gotta love NYC. :D

Mutt is a great guy and we all love him, but I don't think he was right for this show. Jon's professionalism made the show feel right, and last night this seemed very amatuerish. I do like the show turning into more of a "fan's view" instead of having Ralph and Ronnie and Bubba, Gange and Gorilla. I like Mutt, but I'm not sure he fits right as the host of the show. But who knows, maybe there will be an adjustment period and things will start to gel. Off to a good start anyways.

Jon was there in the room with us passing Mutt notes and generally "producing" the tempo of the show. He was helping Mutt move things along and change topics when he suggested it. It was really alot more complex than you think.

and while I might like a more "relaxed" conversation with more time for exposition, I wasn't calling the shots. we were trying to work together on this. I'm a team player and I was trying to help Mutt put on a good show.

I agree. I really liked the way Jon used to host the show, and i liked the inside stories that Ralph used to share...well lets see how the first show'll go... it'll be easyer to judge.

KOAB- Drones on, as per the usual.

Christine- Follower, goes along with the crowd.

kali- Didn't expect the voice, I was waiting to hear Thora Birch's voice-double to come from my speaker's for some reason....but you did great, and you didn't mind speaking about what you wanted to speak about. That's what the whole reason for SFRT is!

Mutt- I'm not one to ass-kiss. It's pointless, and it makes you look like a dick! However, from the second your first syllable hit the mic I was excited...you kept the flow going and, dare I say it, better than Hein! You aren't however in the Howard department of low-key broadcasting. You're more in the "HEY, WHOA WE GOTTA WACKY DAY FOR YA HERE AT THE WACKY ZONE ON 101.11 WACKY-FM!!!! (various wacky sound effects)." But I dug it man!
