I like the news, they just replay it way too often. I suspect Howard will fill up those news-repeat hours with more original programming as time goes on. Just have patience.

I wouldn't mind it if they replayed the actual show one more time in the middle of the two slots they're currently playing it on. Although it's on twice, because of my schedule, I still can't catch the whole show.

I find the news interesting the FIRST time it's on. But I can't wait until they have enough programming that they don't have to repeat Howard 100 episodes from weeks ago.

Don't get me wrong, the news does get old, but I will sit through anything for Howard.

It's not that I mind turning the channel or anything. It's that they could be putting the morning show replay or Bubba's replay on instead of two week old news reports.

Just because there's other channel options doesn't mean we can't complain when the content on Howard 100 is subpar.

Well I think Steve Langford's report from the D.C. indecency hearings was a great new step into a larger world for Howard 100 news.
Quite a compelling report especially when Langford is approached almost secretly by some lobbyist who nudges him not to ask too many questions... :scardie:

The news isn't all bad. It sucks when they play shit from before howard got on the air. They need to play only news clips from this week. They still have crap from last year replaying.

I enjoy about 15 minutes of the news in one sitting. I think it'd be better if they were 5 or 10 minute segments placed inbetween stuff throughout the day.

I actually enjoy the new's, provided that it is treated like real new's. That is to say that the new's be new new's every time it is broadcast. All too often the new's flip flop's and you hear a new story, followed by a story reviewing Howard's first day at Sirius. I do really enjoy the "behind the scene's" stuff, and I am sure that like everything else once they have enough content then thing's will be a lot different, so I guess that we will all have to be a little patient for a little while.

Yeah. I don't like the repeating the same shit over and over. Some of it is interesting but some of it is dull as hell. Please Howard do PM Replays of the same day shows. Those of us who work will tune in to see what we missed that morning. Enough with the other filler shit!!! :ranting:

The concept of Howard 100 News is great - some of the stories are better than others... just like broadcast national/local news. Personally, I like listening in on the news, wrap-up show, and other regular spots that folks here seem to not like very much; but that's just my opinion.

As for getting your money back for the Sirius subscription, what did you sign on for in the first place? If Howard's show isn't worth the lousy $12.95 a month, what is? Did Howard promise you something that you aren't getting?

Howard promised original programming and has said it many times -- this Sirius project is an organic thing, it will evolve... The Howard 100 News (or anything else on 100 and 101 for that matter) is not set in stone.

While I'm already a fan of the majority of the programming (including the upcoming Meet the Sterns and other great stuff) , I will remain patient to see what changes they make to the news to make it even better...

Way too much news between the two stations! And the news isn't even that great, I enjoyed it more while I was waiting for Howards debut, now it just bores me. I think once a day would be fine and fill up the slots on one of the stations with a replay of the Stern Show so that all the construction guys who can't listen at work and go to bed too early to listen at night get a chance to hear the show.

I wish the weekend programming was better. Something live would be key. I just heard the story about beetlejuice's manager for like the 1000th time...I hope weekends get a little bit more attention. Let Artie or Robin do an hour or two, And even fred would be nice to here, spinning some tunes...Still the best, but weekends could be better.

I stopped listening to the news.. I figure if its newsworthy enough Howard and teh gang will cover it.. I just can't take the constant repeats..

I am not giving up on the news I just need some time off away from them and hopefully after some time they will get a good rhythm going

I like the news but not over and over and over. I wish they would replay more of the show cause I cant catch it all the time and I am not getting it online.

Two hours of news a day with regular updates is all they should have on 100/101 combined.
It's only two and a half weeks in, and I can tell they're running out of material already. Maybe mix it up with some celebrity news, etc. It's hard to believe they have 17 people working full time on this.

Also, I do hope that they will soon have more programming. 101 should be a latecast of the show with constant repeats until the latecast of the following day's show. 100 should be Howard and other original programming. Just my opinion.

I am so tired of hearing people talking about Howard 100 news replays. These people sound like children who have never listened to an all news radio station before - many of them probably are and never have. Because it's Howard Stern's channel, I guess they expect it to be bits and comedy 24/7. I agree with others, and Howard himself, who says he plans to fill up his channels with more programming - meaning, over time, less news replays. However, even if he didn't, just like some people can't catch all of the Stern show, even though it airs about 3 times a day, the point of running the days news over and over again is to address the fact that people may be checking in at all times of the day or night and might have missed the news someone else has heard over and over again.

My advice to these people is to switch over to one of the comedy channels, or to any other channel! These people sound as if someone is FORCING them to listen to the same news over and over again. In short: Get a life. Although I'm sure Howard is very flattered that you only want to listen to him 24/7, he himself is promoting the full range of channels available at Sirius to subscribers.

As far as the Howard 100 News itself goes, I do agree with one criticism: replaying very old news reports, seems a bit dumb. However, I've assumed that, being relatively new and being so specialized (focusing only on the Howard Stern universe), it may be more difficult than we know to keep the news totally new and fresh each and every day, all day long. As the show gathers steam, I'm sure all of this will work itself out (if indeed it needs to).

I don't mind the endless replaying of profile pieces and stuff like that (indepth interviews, special investigative pieces, etc); but actually newscasts should be more or less current. I mean: That's the point of a "daily newscast".

Beyond this, I have nothing but praise for the Howard 100 News! As someone who has listened to all news radio for years, I have to say that the Howard 100 newscasts sound as professional and authentic as any newscasts I've ever heard. Keep up the good work!

It's only about 2 months of H100 news, Howard has only had 16 days on air... there is some adjusting that will come with time.
Give the guy a break after all he's been under house arrest for a long time and now Howard and all of his ideas are unleashed in a very short period of time. Believe me Howard will take care of business and everything will get better and better with a little time so let's be patient people. Time to put the thread to rest.

Im hoping Howard will add more original programs that arent necessariliy related to the show. For example, Bubba's show is great, it'd be cool to have another radio personality have a 4 hour show each day at a different time slot.
The sitcom idea sounds cool too. So does a sports show. And so does the Bunny Ranch show.

We dont need more shows talking about THE show. The news, the wrap up show and round table are more than enough. Dead Air Dave's show is DEAD on arrival.

It's a bit too much. (news I mean) Round table is more than enough with some occasional news here and there.

Not at all tired of the noon and 6 pm news .
the constant replays are not necessary but the live stuff is still totally interesting .

If they would expand coverage to other things of interest to Stern listeners you would probably enjoy the news more.

I agree 100% man. I love the stern show and everyone on it, but I cant stand to listen to hours of uninteresting info on EVERYTHING that has to do with the show. Like for instance, when Henry Hill got bombed at the show the other day, all I care about is the audio of him drunk, I dont care what some fucking douche from the restaurant has to say about what happened, not to mention the guy had nothing to say about it anyway. I love Stern but I cant listen to that news anymore.
