Felt bad for the lashing Lisa/Liz took, big props to Liz for calling in saying it's her call on the final story.
Hope you guys don't have to walk too fine a line now - it WAS up to DeBeers (sp?) to not give out info. I DO want to know about all things Howard, and that story counted as legit IMHO
Much love!

I agree. Howard gave them carte blanche to do whatever they wanted, but then had a fit when they did. So now the rule is, "Do whatever you want unless Howard has a problem with it." Hypocrisy, anyone? Apparently free speech is only allowed with Howard's ok.

Howard prob. shouldn't have told everyone where he went, ect. However he should be able to say whatever he wants and not need to worry about his news team crossing into his personal life.
I don't think Howard hired the team to do gossip news coverage of him. Only Queens and their girlfirends care about Beth O.'s Jewlery.
Don't you know that now SHE knows how much it cost and now it will affect the value of the next gift she gets Howard, maby the news can find out what that will be, I wounder what Howard Stern might buy for his mother.
What a lame story. Give the guy a break,
Apparently free speach is only allowed with Howard's ok--
What a lame comment. Howard had specifically asked her NOT to call the store and check up on him. If you think brodcating this information is free speach then you never studied the constitution have you?
The least you could have done is called it free press.
READ A BOOK.

some folks have a problem letting the world know what kinda money they spend. its not about free speech dude, thats just a lame attack. i wouldnt want my lady or anyone else to know what i spend on her as far as gifts go....finances, like health issues, are a persons private buisness....this is no secret to anyone, so why ya shocked he was upset about it?
just cause he talks about real things in life doesnt mean he wants his WHOLE personal life open for the world to see.
plus im sure it felt a bit creepy.
i think the news team got off easy. if howard directly tells lisa g or anyone not to do a story, then they do it anyway...shows a complete lack of respect for howard. hes the reason they are there and howard makes the rules...if he let it slide then it wont be long before he gets walked on by more people more frequent.
the story when i heard it sounded more like tabloid gossip rather then news. i think H100 can do better.

Now, why do I get the distinct impression that you probably think Fox News is "fair and balanced" and "news?"
I missed the diamonds story itself, just heard Howard's tantrum the next day.
If the diamonds were a Valentine's present, then they should have sat on it until today.
As for what Howard paid and the existence of the story itself, he should take issue with -- and never do business with -- the jewelry store. They called H100 News because they wanted the plug -- and they violated Howard's privacy by giving H100 the details. Celebs -- and married men buying gifts for their mistresses -- will steer away from a jewelry store that can't be trusted to keep a patron's private business private.
It's in poor taste for BethO to know what her gift cost but, by now, she probably is savvy enough to have a good idea of it anyway, and Howard is underestimating his audience if he thinks he can perpetuate his "every man" fiction. He's a very wealthy, successful business man, with the "model girlfriend" he said he wanted after (and before) he and Alison separated, a mega-Manhattan apartment, a house in the Hamptons (which BethO refers to as "my house") and a $20 million lot where he and Beth are building a new place.

um, no...dont know what makes ya assume that. granted h100 isnt cnn but they could at least try to be more proffesional when it comes to 'certin' topics.
i was just stating it seemed disrespectful to howard. maybe they are mad cuz they are covering 30 second farts and sibian rides rather then the latest slash fest in the streets.
seems to me a lot of people take howard for granted. the way sal and scott talk to him...ya ok maybe thats good for radio, makes a funny bit....what is also great radio is scott taking his lumps when he fucks up rather then yelling at howard for his own mistakes. howard is a lot more calm then i am, im not sure how he does it.
he really should of laid into Lisa G for that report.
