I guess I can understand that. You're probably an old school fan who was there from the beginning when they had a MUCH harder edge to their sound (I was blown away when I got into their 70's shit recently. It's like night and day). Their 80's and 90's stuff is definitely different, but it's where I got my start on the band so there's a bit of nostalgia involved.

A Joe Perry band with members of Aerosmith would do well, even if it means playing smaller places. He can get all sorts of special guests to sing Aerosmith songs. I really hope he's not thinking of keeping Aerosmith going, or is even able to legally do it.
