Bubba at this point is starting to develop quite a hardcore base of new listeners in addition to those who followed him through his trials and tribulations on f.m. Is it time that the powers at be open up their wallets and give Bubba the ability to hire a few more writers and production assistants? It would also be nice if they could free up a little money to help lure in more "A list" guests since Tampa is outside the normal path press tours travel when people are plugging their new endeavors.

First I’d like to see them extend his contract past the 2 years they signed him for.

why does he need to hire writers or producers??? they sound fine and the show is amazing... i do agree they need to extend the contract but i'm sure sirius will do that when the time comes

Maybe balloon wants a job on the show. I know I'd jump at the chance.

Sign bubba long term and in 5 years wen stern retires...bubba can take over the morning slot...as sad as that sounds

There's a lot of work that goes into putting on a quality show. Look at the size of Howard's staff. Bubba does a remarkable job putting on the show he does everyday with the limited staff he has.

The big wigs are acting pretty stingy, and probably would say why hire new staff when the show is doing fine with what it has now...these are the folks that wanted to wait 2 fucking weeks to put Blue Iris on the sybian to get cheaper plane tickets...haha :D

The only problem is with short staffing them they have to run around like chickens with their heads cut off. They don't have the time to produce as many bits and song parodies as they could with a larger staff. In addition to the burn out factor.

A lot of that is the CD's and T-shirts though, that's why they are trying to cut down on that a bit so they won't have to run around like headless chickens...

I like the show how it is. I think the chemistry of the staff is good. Adding more writers/producers might not be a good thing. I dont really think "a-list"celebrity interviews matter with Bubbas shows.
EXTEND Bubbas contract Sirius/Howard Please.

I don't think he needs A-list guests to make the show work. The chemistry of the on air staff is great, but having more behind the scenes writers and production staff just add more walls to bounce ideas off of. Which in turn stream lines the show and takes off some of the rough edges that I think we'll see either way over the next couple of months as they get more and more comfortable being back behind the microphone.
