The only one I have used has been the S50 but I love it.

I love my sportster replay. Great radio and very versitle. You can use it in the boom box, with a home kit and in the car. Also the fm transmitter works on all 3 floors of my house

I'm sure many others will disagree, but I LOVE my S50...... record the show in the AM, then hear whatever I missed in the early hours during the rest of the day.......
Drunk Luigi
get one with replay so you can pause and rewind.

Same here.

On a sidenote I dropped my Starmate yesterday in my driveway and it got a few scratches, but still plays beautifully. I love that little machine.

I definitely want a sytem that will stand up to the constant relocation from car to home. The main reason I haven't gone satellite is because I don't spend a lot of time in my vehicle.
Off the subject. Man is it hard to type when you been drinking bourbon or what?
sulu_swallows
Starmate Replay. Not one problem yet.

Same problem here bro. I only have a 10 minute commute to work. Thats the reason I love the Starmate. I just bring that puppy inside with me and throw it on its home dock and I got HS in the house.
assmasterson
I have had my Starmate Replay as a replacement for my Jockey II (couldn't find a new power cord, now its the house radio) for about two weeks and so far is been a great unit.

Replay is definitely a feature to look for.
BCOOK
Thanxs for all the imput. It seems that the Starmate is the unit I'm going to look in to. Any other night I wouldn't say this but tonight I've got a good buzz going. I just love you guys! You're the swellest bunch of mofos I know! Outta here!
CND_TRKR
S50 is the most expensive anyway. I've got the Truckers Favorite and don't even know what it's called. :bigthink:
CrazieJillie84
I love my Sportster
havoc

thund3rl1p5

I like the starmate replay its great..... BTW i believe the streamer replay is similar but in black.... and XACT also makes a similar product too....
sinisterjay

BeerTruck

Stolen units don't work yo. :brotha:

Starmate Replay

I did not care for the Sportster
Raiderfan
my SV1 was 49.99 and I received my 20.00 rebate in 6 weeks.
And go buy a AC/DC adapter.
Plug it in a home outlet, on the outside of the adapter is a cig plug port.
Plug your cig adapter from your car unit in it and then you have powered your car unit in your home.
Run your sirius car antenna outside a home window and grap a radio from your house (a CD player/radio or what ever you have available) and tune it to the same FM freq as your Sirius receiver and you now have a home unit.
It works fine for me and I live in the sticks.
No more shelling out $$$ for a home unit.
On the weekends or when I'm off work I bring it in the house.
Seriously

Is the only difference the color?
ottogonzo
I've tried them all....

Stay away from the S50- It's a GREAT unit but with to many bugs.

Starmate Replay is nice looking unit, better mounting options, artist seek . I'm concerned about "plugging" in the power and anntenna cord daily if your bringing it in between your house and car.(Others will disagree and say it's fine)

Sporster Replay was my final choice. Plug and play cradle but more expensive than starmate, larger display

So get the S50 if you got money to burn !
Starmate if your leaving it in the car.
Sporster if your going to transfer between house and home alot.
Big Kahuna 3
streamer replay (just like sportster but different colors)....

no problems at all.
kali
i am getting a starmate for use at home but on the sirius store they don't have the home kit (out of stock, grrrr). looks like i'll have to get a home kit from somewhere else. i assume the promo code can only be used at the sirius store
W. Valderama
S50 is too expesive for the bugs, wait a couple of years at the portables will be sick. For now, buy a sportster REPLAY and a boombox and you will be set. Make sure you get the car docking cradle hardwired into your car stereo.
jimmyritt33
for those that have the S50, did you do the recent firmware update? I read so many bad things about the S50 burning up on sirius backstage that I am a little nervous to do it.
yoivan
My s-50 just took a shit. Im down for a month ,sucks.
Undercoat
I actually like my Starmate it runs 24/7 in my office, gets hot, but keeps on ticking.
p8ntslinger
I loved my Sportster Replay, and now I love my S50 I couldn't live without it anymore. Its been solid for 6 weeks now. I didn't do the firmware update either, seems to risky

I have the Sanyo CRSR-10. I got the Sanyo at the end of December 2005 for $40.00.

It came with the car and home unit.

kayfabe
I have the XACT Visor. Works great.
