I just got off the phone with warranty claims. It seems they are only doing the radio swaps if you send yours in first. this is a 2-4 week turn around and with the radios on back order it will be longer.

A month ago I asked to be put on a waiting list for the advance warranty exchange. This is when Sirius sends you a new unit and you give them your credit card number. then you return your broken unit within 30 days at no charge. But this program is not even created yet. The claims dept said the program will be activated when the warehouse is stocked and they setup the program. They have no idea when this program will be activated. I was told 2-4 weeks a month ago, and was just told the same thing.

What a horseshit way to handle warranty claims for a subscription based service.

Hell, maybe I'll crack the dam thing open and solder the output jack back on the board myself..

Send yours in for warranty. Go to BB or CC and buy another one, Use it for a couple weeks and then return it. Both stores have a 30-day no hassle return. Sounds like the only option if you don't want to miss WEEKS of Howard and Sirius Customer Service is lacking !
