i recieved a mailer saying i'm not intitled to the rebate.
so i sent an e mail to sirius asking why because i thought i did everything right.
here is there responce:
Thanks for writing in to SIRIUS! We appreciate the time taken to
contact us regarding your $50 rebate noncompliance card inquiry. We
understand the frustration this has caused. We are here to help! Upon
researching your inquiry, we also found purchase was made outside of the
qualifying period, as you stated. After researching your rebate, we see
that the rebate form submitted was for rebate offer#6348 and that's the
reason your received the denial postcard. The rebate you did qualify
for was for our holiday rebate. Stephen don't worry though, we
forwarded your rebate information for offer#6010 to the appropriate team
for approval. Once approved, it should take about 4-6 weeks for you to
receive your rebate. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience or
frustration this may have caused. We appreciate your patience in this
matter and hope this information has been helpful!
We are committed to providing you with the best in customer care and
glad your part of the SIRIUS family! If you have any more questions,
please feel free to contact SIRIUS Customer Care. For your convenience,
we are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at:
great job of sirius replying a/s/a/p!
also fixing the problem.
hope this helps someone here. |

Same bullshit happened to me. They keep changing the fucking rebate coupons every goddamn month. I got mine for Xmas, but couldn't install it until the day before the show came on. That's also when I downloaded and sent in my rebate. Well, the coupon I downloaded didn't apply for units purchased in December.
Long story short, I had to call them, wait on hold forever, and then deal with some dude named Oscar or something. They supposedly re-submitted and hopefully I'll get my rebate.
The way they're running this rebate thign is REALLY shady and a lot of people aren't bothering fighting with them. I'm not one of those people and I WILL get my fucking rebate.  |

this is just a guess, but one issue may simply be the HUGE number of people ordering radios.

I got my Sirius during the last week of December. That was when they had the $50.00 rebate.
I had about 1 week to send the rebate in or I would loose out.
You can check on the Sirius website to see if they have a rebate.
I was looking on the Sirius website. It looks like no rebates right now. |

| Just sent my re-submit off to Arizona yesterday I beleived I had gave them all the information they required to receive the 50 dollar rebate but they sent a postcard back saying I did not activate in the qualyfying period of time for the #6348 rebate offer. I looked up #6348 rebate offer and I did activate in proper time frame as a matter of fact I received a letter from Sirius welcoming me to the service and it had my activation date posted on it so I sent a copy of that in and now I'm waiting. |

From my experience:
1) make sure you read and understand the conditions of your rebate...if you abided by each and every one:
2) and you do not receive it within the timelimit alloted per the contract, call Sirius and find out what's going on. They prolly fucked up  so be firm with them and get their name and request an email confirming that they fucked up and a date on which you should expect your rebate.....and follow up the next day to let them know you're not to be fucked with
3) track your rebate status on sirius.com and make sure it matches what the Sirius customer representative told you
4) if not, call Sirius rep again and threaten them with a Better Business Bureau investigation....they will all of the sudden kiss your ass
5) if you don't get your rebate within 3 weeks thereafter, really call the BBB and report this bullshit..and report back here!
Good luck  |
