ok, my Starmate arrived and in about 30 minutes I'll have a home kit to plug it in. I'm adding my radio to my brothers existing account - at least that's the plan.
however, i've looked around here and on the Sirius site and I can't find any info on exactly how to do this.
I know a bunch of you guys have several radios (one one sub, I assume), so somebody here must know how to add them. My bro has had his radio/sub since about dec, I think.
and, yes, I know I have to have the SID number. got it.

Congrats Kali on your Starmate purchase. :btu: Sorry, I don't know about adding other receivers on someone else's subscription though. :(

If you don't have your brother's Login and Password, then you have to call customer service at: 1.888.539.SIRIUS(7474)
If you can get your brother's Login and Password, then go to:
https://home.sirius.com/webCUWI/Login.aspx
and log in where it says "EXISTING ACCOUNTS" and add the second unit online.

i clicked on the link that's here at the top of the page and that directed me to the sirius site from which i ordered the radio. it did give a 10% discount. although they claimed i would have no postage, it still seems like i did get charged.

I just plugged everything in. my brother was just here to log in and activate and I am now OFFICALLY lISTENING TO THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH!

| i was unaware that you could have more than 1 radio per sub. if thats the case, i will reactivate my original starmate so i don't need to transfer the starmate replay from car to house etc. |

Every additional subscription (upto 3) added to a main account will cost you an additional $6.99/month. It's not free. Just so you know. |

actually, it does!
and i love the fact that I can still use my radios - one in the bathroom - so I can once again listen to the show while taking a shower. And, if I want to listen to the show without disturbing others (who want to watch TV), i just pop on my walkman.

I thought this was illegal. That's why I kept mum. I have a second account but it is not being used in my house... I am paying the 7 bucks a month for it though.... I really think Sirius should count not just number of subscriptions but number of subscriptions and number of units on each account. That would reflect a realer number of people listening. |
