Many of you, like myself are paying $9.95+ to subscribe to Howard TV and for perhaps 50% of the time I am VERY happy with the content - BUT I am sorry that isn't good enough! Doug Goodstein needs to address the fact that for the most part we WANT MORE CONTENT! You promised a lot more shows in the beginning and are now scaling back. Can't offer that much content? If that is the issue, address the issue on Howard's show and tell him that you were wrong, but don't be a wimp and avoid the subject. I have about 10 friends in my neighborhood that subscribe who agree with me and we will all be cancelling within a one hour time frame this friday unless we see some of the content from the first weeks of the show (which was promised during the first vacation) until you get your sh#t together. The editing is very amateuristic, the sound from each episode fluxiates dramatically, all in all I would rather not invest in something weak and very below Howard's standards. His for sale video on his website failed for similar reasons, don't let him down Goodstein.

are we a minority? cause like i feel like there are so many problems with the service, but its never brought up

i dunno, im with you Surdo, but its looking like a lost cause
mcfierce
somehow, I dont think Howard knows all the problems that are going on..........Doug comes in here and blames everything on the cable companies, sounds like passing the buck to me............they gotta get their shit together, or they will lose another customer....
Surdo
I am sure as of monday this will be brought up for about 2 minutes on the air - these are the points that will be said from the indemand people
1 - We cannot control what each and every Cable company does - it is their fault!
2 - We are under such a time limit Howard and we need more time to get the shows out there! (even though they promised (I mean sold it as) 24-48 turn around)
3 - We are understaffed and the budget doesn't allow new employees (guess what?? - if it continues to suck guess what the budget will be?)
4 - We have 400 things to do...whaaaa
5 - The people who have complained directly is a very small percentage (not only not true but even if it were true...so they don't matter???)

I can almost smell DG thinking up excuses every morning.

It's a month later and the service is showing me ZERO signs of improvement. I think I'm gone by months end. The lack of graphic sexual content and the high price and the constant bullshit on the radio about how great it is is bumming me out. It is also frustrating to not get updated material, or rerun material from 2 months ago.

One of the reasons I got HTV was to see the graphic sexual content as well. Yes I want comedy too, but the uncensored raunch was a big selling point for me.

Yet, concerning the sexual content, is it my imagination or does it seem as if the wacky naked chick segments have been minimized since the Sirius move. Yes, you get the occasional sybian segment once every 7 days or so, but it seems as though they did many more nude segments on terrestrial radio. "It's Just Wrong", "Stump the Booey", "The Evaluators", "Wheel Of Sex", Wacky stunts for Breast Implmants, and similar bits seem to have disappeared. Whch is weird since they finally have an uncensored TV Channel. I'm not saying the channel should be a T&A parade, it's just that there seems to be a lot less graphic stuff (except for Gina Lynn and one F machine episode) and nudity then there was before Sirius.

I also just checked out the pics of the latest "Shy Love" sybian ride at Howardstern.com, and it appears to be another "PORN" star who gets on the sybian without removing her underwear. What's up with that? After the Gina Lynn ride, it just isn't compelling watching a clothed Porn star on the sybian. Get them to take their underwear off!!! They're friggin PORN stars. A clothed porn star on the Sybian is meaningless at this point.

I actually canceled on Monday , May 8th. When I checked the new episodes :Savanna delivery game (Repeat)
Richard Christy gets waxed(Repeat)
Stump the booey with jesse( Repeat)
I said to myself that's it $13.95 a month and I think I've watched maybe 20-30 minutes in the last week and a half. No more.
Maybe I'll wait a couple of months and see what kind of content changes the channel makes.
I am by no means telling people not to buy it. Just for me it was extremely disappointing!

"Best of the Week" usually contains multiple chapters, from different day's shows (a good thing)...

However, there is no cover page in the opening frames, with what bits are included, in what order, for how many minutes. I have no idea, for example, that Jenna Jameson is in the 4th segment, 45 minutes into this particular 'Best of the Week' segment.

I hope someone with influence is reading this. It would be an incredible improvement if we could fast forward to the parts that interested each of us, 'The Stern Fans'.

I hope other Stern fans feel the same as I do. This is purely a technical issue, easy to remedy.

What do you think?

I blame Goodstein, Robin Razinsky was clearly up to the challenge of being executive producer. I'm sure he is a good worker, but I don't think he is capable of being the one calling the shots, he needs to be told what to do.

I've been the first one to bash content and editing, but recent events in the last few days has seen more graphic editing and some classic shows coming back. It's still better than anything else you can get for that price. I'm hoping that the last few updates are reinforcement of things to come.

Segments like "It's Just Wrong", "Stump The Booey" and the like aren't happening at Sirius because those are games that need a big cash prize to lure people in to play them. Sirius has a much smaller audience than Howard's old regular radio gig and so he doesn't get the same type of sponsors throwing all that money at him for ads and promotion like they did before. Do you think anyone would be so willing to undress their daughters for some CARSON'S RIBS?

Giving away implants had pretty much died off before Howard even came to Sirius. I'm not sure why we aren't seeing that much or any "Evaluators" these days. Not only would I like to see some new ones but there are many old "Evaluators" shows I wish they would air uncensored on HTV. There are probably hundreds of those.
The "Wheel Of Sex" would be perfect on Sirius and HTV with so many porn girls showing up but I just don't see that happening while they're in love with the Sybian.

Gary said about a week ago that they officially have a sponsor for an upcoming series of Stump the Booey challenges. If they lose, the girl not only has to get naked but also ride the Sybian.

They also have the $5000 for the Fart Challenge coming up. Sponsors are gaining confidence in the new show, and I think we'll be seeing more prizes.

im not very happy either. i have to wait sometimes up to a week for any new material to be put up.

i think the last week or so of shows have been a HUGE improvement. ive been lucky that comcast has updated stuff on time almost everyday.

with old shows like the entire first appearence sextion... daily shows from the 6am hour and less celebs... and even repeat shows of some of the best HTV material

normally the repeats would piss me off, but since there have been lots of other good shows put up, im actually quite happy with the repeats... this is what i want outta HTV.... grade for the last 2 weeks is a B+

There must be a problem with INDEMAND's upload to COMCAST, because I still don't see the Shy Love Episode from Thursday, May 11th. Any one else having a problem with that episode not showing up ?

I will file a complaint with COMCAST if they do not get me that episode. I am paying (now $14 a month) for this service.

HTV has tremendous potential, but these problems with not being able to get episodes uploaded in a reasonable time period to my cable company are getting me a bit upset.

I enjoy watching the SYBIAN action............but, they need to be more on the ball with this service...........Doug Goodstein, etc................if we are to get the most out of it.

I CANT BELEIVE THAT THEIR ON THE AIR FOR 5 HOURS A DAY AND GIVING US 20 MINUTE SHOWS ON DEMAND.TOTAL BULLSHIT!
almel
i agree with you jesse
SteelRat
What daily show is 20 minutes? They're almost all around an hour. They aren't allowed to put the entire day's broadcast up, they're limited by agreements with Sirius who would get screwed over by that.
blue2noise
The biggest problem of all is there is absolutely no consideration to the past 20 years of material. Let's face it, as much as we love the show it is very hard to get jazzed about watching something that we just heard 24 hours ago.

There is an entire history of E! shows and all we are getting is two a month.

My Solution: Scrap "Best of the week". and have TWO daily categories. "Daily Shows" and "Daily Classic Shows" and post a new episode of each every day. Most of these shows are already edited for the E! airings. Sure i would love to see them re-edited and expanded, but still. You would think because Howard did not get the rights to his old tapes that they would air more E! shows on that basis alone.

Also, stop assuming that all the fans want to see is the visual bits. I had just as much fun watching "Gary's T-Shirt" as i did watching Richard get waxed.

That's my solution.
