I'm growing increasingly concerned that the "daily show" section is now getting all the attention and time from Goodstein & co, while anything pre-sirius is starting to get the shaft.

I think the "best of the week" needs to get scrapped in favor of something like "classic daily shows" as a compliment to "daily shows".

We just listened to these sirius shows 48 hours before we view it and I am very concerned that no effort is being put into the adding of some great classic stuff anymore. It was loaded when they werent allowed to air the Sirius shows, but since then it seems all the effort is put into the new shows and nothing more.

There needs to be a nice balance between the two. I immediately check "from the vault" before anything else and even that seems to be going the way of all new shows and bits now. You can't ignore 20 years of greatness in favor of three months.
Sternite
Yeah I agree with you I'd like to see more of the classic stuff as well
fjackieftimmy
there were so many classic "E" shows that deserve to be seen again. Instead we get "best of week" which is just edited down daily shows and in my opinion a complete waste. Do we really need to see the same annoying penthouse playmate half ass ride the sybian? For anyone looking for classic "E" shows check out youtube.com. They have a bunch of the classic E show episodes like the jesus twins, howwyweird squares, Arties first appearance on the show with Norm Mcdonald and a ton of others. Even some classic channel 9 stuff.

F timmy's retarded skull

They need to go back in the vault and pull similar themes when have a new show up. Like if Robin gets in a fight go back and find an old fight and add that as a companion. Or when Dice came in they should have went back and pulled the show where Howard and him fought in the first place and put that up along side the new appearance. You would think stuff like that would be obvious. Hire me Howard!

obvious doesnt seem to be in the HSOD crew vocab.

terms they know-

half-assed
repetetive
censored

I hate to mention it, because I really have tried hard to stay away from internet sites, but youtube.com is totally blowing Howard TV away.

Better selection, more shows, free, etc., etc.

This past week of nothingness and reruns from a few months ago (WTF!?!) really shows a lack of effort, or pride in Howard TV. It's getting to the point where I'm no certain that I care more about the service than anyone on the staff does. I hate feeling that way, and I had such huge hopes and expectations for the network. Sad and half-assed are the only ways I can describe it.
MAGUSofHELLVIEW
what sucks is that the quality could be lightyears better because they actually have all of the material

but instead we go to the internet for lackluster quality, but we get the content we want.

did anyone read the interview with doug on hs.com... he said its like 90% good feedback, 10% really bad

hopefully hes actually looking at the 10% because im fuckin pissed off at this, as is damn near everyone i know
michaeljamesmcc
That 90/10 percentage is total bullshit. I know about 90 people that think it sucks, and that's just here in Minnesota. These days I just get ripped on for being an idiot and paying for a subscription.

Ever notice how every last person that get's through on the phone to the show in regard to Howard TV is just kissing ass? It's blatantly obvious to me. Funny how I never can get past those screeners...

It's also great to here the Howard TV ass-kissers immediately ask for tickets, prizes, or cash as soon as they get out that they like Howard TV.

Howard: "We've got Tom in Philadelphia. Go ahead Tom..."

Tom: "Yeah Howard, I just got Howard TV and it's the greatest thing ever. Can I get tickets to the Film Festival?"

Sounds like some legit feedback there...
MAGUSofHELLVIEW
i have to correct you michaeljamesmcc... cause every time someone asks for tix to the film festival, THEY DONT KNOW THE FUCKING NAME OF THE EVENT

"can i get tickets to the uhhhhh.... that show... the movie thing...."

Ha-ha. Yeah, ain't that the truth!

You know that you'll be seeing those tickets up on eBay as soon as they get them.

"umm, tickets to that show thing..."

Hilarious.

I agree they must dedicate more time to putting on some of the classics from E. I am still waiting for them to add the sound to the "Erica the Gymnast part 1" show. They offered that show when they launched the channel but took it off within a few days in my area because it had no sound. How long does it take to fix a problem like that?
RUMBLER
Where the hell are all the old E shows??? When I signed up I thought there would be loads of that shit.

I agree with you totally.. I think that they are missing an oppertunity with the best of the week section though. If Howard does 5 hours of content a day its like 25 hours a week(for the sake of simplified math), why would they focus the "best of the week stuff on the 5 hours that is already highlighted in the daily shows? There has to be some other useable bits each day. I don't really watch the best of the week @ all because I would rather watch the full interview.

I agree. I still haven't seen anal ring toss uncensored. HSOD is getting lazy. I'm from boonville NY, where the hell is hicksviile?

Also posted this in another recent thread, but it pertains here too....

HowardTV and Goodstein need to hire a SEPERATE group to work on JUST the old E! shows. You can't tell me that HowardTV/InDemand don't have enough money to hire 3 or 4 guys to sit in a room and edit old E! shows.

Puuuuhleeeeze!

Hicksville is on Long Island. Easily one of the worst names towns around.
ChrisInCali
I'd like to see more of the old shows, but only if they air them in their uncensored glory. I have a hard time going back to the old stuff now that they have so much freedom to say what they want on Sirius.
