I've been trying to memo artists (as opposed to individual songs) and am having some difficulty with it. I know the Sportster Replay has this feature, but does anyone know how to memo an artist vs. just memo'ing a song?
USMCMatt
it just does songs

I think

I have been wondering the same thing...I think it just does songs.

The Starmate has the artist feature. The Sportster doesn't.

What makes no sense to me is why there is such a small limit of songs you can memo (20 on Sportster, 30 on Starmate). It's just not enough with ALL of the different types of music offered. Hopefully, the receiver manufacturers will up the amounts in upcoming equipment.

Good call. It would be nice if, as a courtesy to subscribers, if they could update that somehow like when they add new channels. I'm sure it's impossible, as it's probably a hardware issue (amount of memory), but it'd be nice.

Thanks for responding all.

i've got a starmate and more than 30 memory slots would probably drive you nuts, i've used all 30 and the constant beeping
from artist alerts is crazy, great feature though, so whay can you do.

yes, but if you stored 100 artists, your reciever would be blowing up constantly w/ alerts...

I understand what you're saying, but specific ARTISTS are much more likely to come up than specific SONGS. That makes a huge difference in how often your "choices" come up.

Can you tell I have the Sportster?
:p
