My cigarette lighter no longer works, which means no Sirius in my car. A friend of mine got in my car the other day and used the other socket to charge his phone. Next day, neither sockets would work. So, i'm guessing both fuses blew out from a combination of the Sirius being plugged in, and his cell phone charger.

I tried earlier to remove the fuse, but couldn't get it. Does it have to be professionally done? I think while trying to remove it I may of even been shocked

You should be able to remove any fuse in the 12-volt system yourself. There may be a little fuse removal tool in the fuse box that will help you get them out.

P.S.- It is unlikely that you were shocked while touching anything in the 12-volt fuse box.

The manual for my car says the "Accessory Socket" is 15 Volts I think. (15A?).

I guess I have to find a tool to pull it out. I definatley got some sort of shock :o

Be sure that your fuse box or it's cover does not have a fuse puller mounted in it before going to buy one. If you do decide to buy one, any car parts place should have them.

The fuze in a company vehicle kept blowing when using the sportster and charging the cell phone. I solved the problem by going to Radio Shack and purchasing a 12v 7AH alarm battery. I crimped connectors on to a female 12v socket. The battery usually lasts 3 to 4 days. I recharge it overnight using a 120v to 12v 1000ma charger. Works great
