According to mmaweekly and sherdog, several big stories are breaking today.
First, Tito-Ken II is OFF for July as several SFNers predicted. Now, it will be Ken Shamrock vs. Forrest Griffin. Reportedly, Dana White is furious with Tito and it doesn't seem that his knee injury is the only reason for the ending of the fight.
The Main Event for the card in July will be Tim Sylvia-Andrei Arlovski III for the Heavyweight Title.
Anderson Silva has also inked a deal with the UFC. He is a very entertaining and well-rounded fighter and should spice up the 185 division.
Finally, there are reports that UFC and HBO are near reaching a deal for a monthly fight card to air on the network.
This should be a high profile card, and even though Ken sucks I think it'll be good for MMA's mainstream popularity. These are all big developments, and I applaud Dana White and UFC. |

| I'm a little disappointed that the Tito vs. Shamrock fight is off for now but I look forward to Anderson Silva. The UFC needs someone to challenge Franklin. |

| I'm glad its off. Shamrock is past his prime. One of the greatest but he has looked bad in his last couple of fights. |

Who the hell wants to see Shamrock/Griffin? Lame move. I rather it be dropped from the card and watch two scrappy no namers. Fantastic, a youngster throwing Shamrock another beating. Whooooooooooopeeeeeeeee :( :rolleyes:
I like what Dana is doing but not this. Everybody knew that the fight was off. Give us something else. The only thing that was at all entertaining about the Tito fight was the history. Since there is none it is now just an old guy getting beat up. |

Yeah, it wasn't anything earth-shattering. But I remember a few SFN guys were predicting Tito-Glammy was off and wanted them to know they were prophetic.
Forrest should cream Ken once he gets a takedown and/or Ken gasses.
AA-Sylvia III sucks, but it's better than Monson-Sylvia or Mir-Anyone.
Anderson Silva adds some needed depth to the 185 division while Franklin recovers.
I am pumped about the HBO deal. This might lead to good monthly cards with high production value. And it may help steal some of their boxing crowd.
Tito and Dana will be Tito and Dana. Their egos aren't dissipating anytime soon. |

| Not until at least around UFC 62 time. Joe Riggs is fighting Mike Swick at UFC 60 (Gracie-Hughes card). |

That's really incredible if it's accurate news. I agree that Dana has done an amazing job with UFC and especially if they get a deal done with HBO. Thanks for the update. |

That sucks...who knocked out Zwick for his only defeat??? that would be Leban...they need 2 put him in there with more quality... on a side note they relplayed the original zwick vs. leban fight on HDnet... zwick tried 2 throw hands with leban and it was lights out!!! puttin the stamp on kids |

you would have thought they would have set that up as a nice undercard for one of these events. nice background, etc. i guess they'll save it for a later date if both of them keep moving their way up the rankings. |

| It'a an interesting triangle. Forrest Griffin is getting incredible run. I think Tito should let Forrest beat Shamrock and that'll set up their second fight. |

Breaking News!
Tito Ortiz' MRIs came back negative for tear on the ACL and/or LCL. ACL is healing, LCL streched. Slight break of fibula. Nagging bulging disc in his lower back.
Don't question his heart, he's a warrior.
Tito WILL BE FIGHTING KEN SHAMROCK IN JULY!

| good news... beyond a 4 ounce puncher's chance, I don't see how shammy can stay competitive in this match at all... tito's stand up has improved A LOT based off the forrest fight... I think this fight will be a one round TKO, consistent with ken's last 2 fights... |
