I just got an automated call from Sirius about their new deal for current subscribers. If you buy a second subscription for an extra 6 bucks per month, they'll give you a free Starmate unit. It would be cool if I were married and I could give my wife the radio for her car and everything but is it a good deal for a single guy?

Hey thats a great deal, I was about to buy the starmate to use for a couple of months until the show goes on line. My buddy has Sirius already, I could just gime him $6 a month and take the Starmate

Do I need a ref # or anything for this deal?

I have no idea what you need. All I know is the automated voice said "If you'd like to sign up for this now, press 0, or call back later if you aren't sure" So I guess just call the regular Sirius number, ask them and go from there?

Thanks for the savings!

I got the same offer by email. For the starmate you need to buy the home kit for 40 bucks, it does come with the car kit. You can get the Sirius one radio with a car kit for free, or you can get 2 Sirius one radios for free if you buy a subscription for 2 radios. You have to keep your account paid for and in good standing for 6 months or they charge you for the radio. Sounds like a great deal to me, I've been thinking about a second radio to have a back up, also I can leave one in the car and one at home.

I called the 800#, it was $38.00 plus tax, $15 for activation. You can pay for 6 months or 12 months. I am very happy with the deal. I can take the radio in the car or leave it at home.

I believe the deal is good until May 31st. (call to be sure).

I just received this offer by e-mail tonight.

If you go to Sirius.com and log in to manage your account you will see a link that looks like this...

if you are qualified for the offer.

You have to have your order in by May 1st and activate the radio by May 31st.

I've been wanting a second radio to leave in the car and ordered the free SiriusOne. They are also offering a free Starmate Replay if you buy a home kit or boom box. They charged me $7.34 for shipping, shipping is free on orders over $50. I should have thought to order a $50 gift card which I could have used to activate the radio d'oh!

I got 2 Sirius One's for my buddies today. This is a great way to get more subscribers. No doubt they'll want to keep this service AND get a better radio eventually.
